Updating a previous report, the New England Patriots promoted OT Marcus Cannon from the practice squad to active roster Tuesday, Nov. 15. The team cut CB Ross Ventrone to make room. Cannon was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma prior to the draft, and he underwent chemotherapy. Cannon's cancer is now in remission. The team also re-signed CB Malcolm Williams (Patriots) to the practice squad.

Texas Christian OL Marcus Cannon has been diagnosed with a treatable form of lymphoma after it was discovered during the pre-draft process. All 32 teams have been informed about Cannon's medical condition. He will begin chemotherapy Wednesday, April 27, and will have three more treatments over the next three months.
