"It's pretty impressive what he did," head coach Norv Turner said. Baxter held his own, and might be the center of the future with Hardwick an unrestricted free agent after this season and, according to one source, will be seeking a substantial contract.

He measured a 28-inch vertical jump, an 8-foot-4 broad jump and completed 22 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.
