Philadelphia Eagles C Jason Kelce (knee) is expected to be fully recovered by training camp after suffering a knee issue in Week 2 of the regular season in 2012. "It's coming along real well," Kelce said. "Right now, the target date with how I've been rehabbing is somewhere in the minicamps. The first one I might be a little bit limited, but the second one, we'll go for it."

Philadelphia Eagles C Jason Kelce has had numerous conversations with head coach Chip Kelly and is excited about the offense. "I'm pretty excited about the whole situation in general because I'm very familiar with the spread style of offense I think he's probably going to institute," Kelce said. "I did a lot of that in college. Basically, in my opinion, it makes an offensive line's job just so much easier. I'm excited about everything, and once they get a coach in here, I'll be excited to see what he says."

The Philadelphia Eagles came away from the Senior Bowl last week impressed with Rice TE Vance McDonald, and the team is expected to address the tight end position in the draft this year. Cincinnati TE Travis Kelce, the brother of C Jason Kelce, could be another target in the draft. TE Clay Harbor hasn't cut it and TE Brent Celek has contributed, but the team is ready to bring in a complement or replacement.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said Monday, Sept. 24, that OT Demetress Bell will remain his starting left tackle as long as OT King Dunlap (hamstring) is out. C Dallas Reynolds had a difficult day in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals in place of C Jason Kelce (knee). Reid said he is sticking with Reynolds, and said he hasn't yet considered using OG Steve Vallos at center just yet.

Philadelphia Eagles trainer Rick Burkholder said C Jason Kelce (knee) will need reconstructive surgery on his partially torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee, which should take place in the next month. OG Dallas Reynolds replaced Kelce at center in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Philadelphia Eagles C Jason Kelce (knee) will undergo minor arthroscopic surgery on his knee Tuesday, Sept. 18, to determine the extent of his knee sprain suffered in Week 2. Kelce could be placed on the Injured Reserve and be designated to return at midseason.

Updating a previous item, Philadelphia Eagles C Jason Kelce (knee) could be lost for the season after suffering a torn medial collateral ligament and a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament in Week 2, according to team trainer Rick Burkholder. Kelce will miss at least four to six weeks as the medial collateral ligament heals. Kelce has the option of letting the anterior cruciate ligament heal on his own, and if it does, then he might be able to play later in the season.
