Mon, 17 Jun 2013 11:42:15 -0700 Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron said he has been working on becoming the team's starting tight end this season and has been learning offensive coordinator Norv Turner's scheme. "It's just having the mindset that I'm going to be the guy, try and take over this role," Cameron said. "The confidence is huge with that, and I think I get more confidence every day, learning new things. With [tight ends coach Jon Embree], he really knows the details and how to make you a better player, whether it be blocking or positioning or route-running." Cameron said the new offense is allowing tight ends to run deep routes.
Sun, 09 Jun 2013 09:13:04 -0700 Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (hamstring, groin) is expected to be ready for training camp but could be limited at the start of camp. The Browns are counting on Cameron to be their starting tight end.
Thu, 06 Jun 2013 07:51:17 -0700 Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (hamstring) is sitting out Thursday, June 6, due to a hamstring injury.
Wed, 05 Jun 2013 14:38:28 -0700 Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (hamstring) appeared to injure his left hamstring during practice Wednesday, June 5. He had his left leg wrapped after the injury occurred and sat out the rest of the practice.
Thu, 30 May 2013 11:27:37 -0700 Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (groin) returned to practice Thursday, May 30.
Wed, 29 May 2013 09:35:12 -0700 Cleveland Browns offensive players have raved about their first impression of OC Norv Turner's scheme. "Defenses will be shocked to say the least with how much we're running downfield,"WR Josh Gordon said. WR Greg Little said Turner "calls more post and go routes than I've ever run before."ESPN Stats and Information cites that the Browns threw the ball 10 yards or fewer downfield on 73.3 percent of their 2012 passes, and 20 yards or more on only 9 percent. Fantasy Tip: The Air Coryell elements in Turner's vertical-based game give Gordon and Little some fantasy sleeper potential and should sustain Trent Richardson's RB1 stock. It's a stretch to say Weeden, if he gets the gig, will be anything more than a low-end No. 2 fantasy QB, but he could be useful in the right matchup plays for bye weeks. Keep an eye on the development of talented but unpolished TE Jordan Cameron, as well.
Tue, 28 May 2013 16:51:12 -0700 The Cleveland Browns have TEs Gary Barnidge, Kellen Davis and Brad Smelley behind projected starter Jordan Cameron on the roster. Barnidge has done a good job of blocking, as has Davis, while Smelley could find a role as a H-back because of his receiving ability. Fantasy Tip: None of Cleveland's backup tight ends should be on your radar at this time. Cameron has upside, and could be heavily relied on in this system, but durability issues should be factored in when you consider drafting him as a TE2.
Sat, 25 May 2013 15:18:28 -0700 The Cleveland Browns are taking a cautious approach with TE Jordan Cameron (groin) while he deals with a groin injury because they see him as their starting tight end this season. Fantasy Tip: Cameron has plenty of time before training camp to allow his groin injury to heal. Cameron should be seen as a No. 2 fantasy tight end this season because he is expected to be a part of the team's passing offense.
Thu, 23 May 2013 07:52:17 -0700 Cleveland Browns TE Jordan Cameron (groin) is not practicing Thursday, May 23, due to a groin injury.
Tue, 21 May 2013 12:47:56 -0700 The Cleveland Browns really like TE Jordan Cameron as their starting tight end and have been targeting him a lot in organized team activities. Fantasy Tip: Something to keep an eye on as training camps and preseason games get underway, is how the Browns tight end position plays out. If Cameron does win the starting job for his team, it would likely make him a solid TE2 in fantasy football.
