Cleveland Browns TE Gary Barnidge is currently the team's starting tight end, according to head coach Mike Pettine. That means the chances of TE Rob Housler making a big impact are slim. Undrafted TE Emmanuel Bibbs is one to watch, and he saw significant snaps in practice Monday, Aug. 10.
Fantasy Tip: Barnidge has never managed more than 13 catches in a single season, so although he could have a much bigger workload this year, it's hard to imagine him suddenly becoming a big fantasy force. Consider him a weak TE2, especially considering Cleveland's uninspiring quarterback situation.

Cleveland Browns TEs Gary Barnidge, Rob Housler and Jim Dray could all end up taking over for TE Jordan Cameron, who is now with the Miami Dolphins. Head coach Mike Pettine said the three tight ends provide some diversity and can be used in different ways.
Fantasy Tip: Barnidge and Housler are probably the bigger receiving threats, and thus would be more valuable in fantasy leagues. If a platoon does indeed take form, however, none of them would be worth starting as your every-week tight end.

Cleveland Browns TE Rob Housler said he hopes to receive a big role in the passing game next season, because he believes he can contribute on offense.
Fantasy Tip: Housler should have a chance to compete for the starting job during training camp based on the tight ends currently on the roster. He probably should be considered a weak No. 2 fantasy tight end next season if he wins the job because of the team's uncertain quarterback situation.

The Baltimore Ravens have held talks with free-agent TE Rob Housler (Cardinals). The Cincinnati Bengals are also interested in his services.
Fantasy Tip: Housler is a good pass catcher, but he has had difficulty blocking. If he were to land in Baltimore he would be a tertiary option in the passing game making him a fringe fantasy option in leagues of 12 or more teams.

The Cincinnati Bengals are interested in free-agent TE Rob Housler (Cardinals), and he is hopeful of deciding on a team in the next week. The Baltimore Ravens have also discussed adding Housler.
Fantasy Tip: Housler is a good pass catcher, but his blocking has proven to be a problem in the past. If he were to land in Cincinnati he would likely be a fringe fantasy option in leagues of 12 or more teams.
