The Dallas Cowboys are set to release FB Shaun Chapas as they prepare to get to the final roster of 53. The move comes as a surprise because of the role Chapas can play on special teams, which could play a role in Chapas landing with a new team.

Dallas Cowboys FB Shaun Chapas is expected to get some chances in the running game in Week 13 against the Arizona Cardinals, as well as work on special teams. "He's a guy whose played fullback before and played there his entire career," running backs coach Skip Peete said. "Obviously it's just refocusing and getting himself ready to do what we do instead of just being a scout team fullback."
