The Miami Dolphins taking RB Lamar Miller in the fourth round of the NFL Draft appears to be a "best available player" selection considering they still have needs at the wide receiver position. The Dolphins have RBs Reggie Bush and second-year Daniel Thomas as their top two backs, with Bush coming off a 1,000-yard season. Miller will potentially be the team's third running back on the depth chart.

Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin said Wednesday, March 28, that RB Daniel Thomas was "in great shape" when the two met a couple of weeks ago. "He had a couple of nagging injuries from what I understand anyway," Philbin said. "Those have been rectified at this point in time and I'm excited about him. He's a big, different size player, big player."
