Bills | Tyrod Taylor doesn't do much

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 18:25:54 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor completed 20 of his 37 pass attempts for 166 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Week 5 game against the Cincinnati Bengals and he rushed once for three yards.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor just doesn't do much for fantasy owners on a consistent basis. He didn't have a lot of time to make things happen in this one, as he was sacked six times. The Bills are off in Week 6 before returning host to host the Buccaneers.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor throws for 182 yards, TD

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 16:26:46 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor completed 12 of his 20 pass attempts for 182 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons and he ran seven times for 12 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor has posted five touchdowns and just one interception through four games, but his lack of yardage and scores makes him more of a QB2 in most fantasy formats. The Bills travel to Cincinnati in Week 5.

Sat, 30 Sep 2017 06:43:58 -0700

Denver Broncos LB Von Miller was not fined by the National Football League for his taunting penalty during Week 3's game against the Buffalo Bills. He was flagged in the fourth quarter for offering his hand to QB Tyrod Taylor to help him up before pulling his hand back.

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 14:56:39 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor completed 20 of his 26 pass attempts for 213 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 2 against the Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor also rushed eight times for 13 yards in the surprising victory, moving the ball well against a normally stiff Denver defense. He might be a high-end QB2 in fantasy leagues heading into Week 4 in Atlanta against a Falcons defense which has given up plenty of passing yards.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor to remain a starter in Week 3

Mon, 18 Sep 2017 10:37:00 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor will be the starting quarterback in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor is being set up to fail in Buffalo this season, but rookie Nathan Peterman probably isn't anywhere close to ready yet and the Bills probably don't want to throw him to the wolves against the Broncos anyway. It feels like the hook is coming soon for Taylor, so owners hoping for him to turn it around might want to pursue other options.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor does next to nothing

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 15:41:39 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor completed 17 of his 25 pass attempts for 125 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 2 against the Panthers while running eight times for 55 yards.

Fantasy Tip: The Bills were limited to just 176 total yards, as the Panthers defense was on fire for a second straight game. Taylor will look to rebound in Week 3, but he faces another tough defense when the Broncos come calling.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor throws two touchdowns

Sun, 10 Sep 2017 15:07:19 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor threw for 224 yards and two touchdowns on 16-for-28 passing in a 21-12 win over the New York Jets on Sunday, Sept. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Before you get excited, keep in mind it was the Jets. Still, it is a good sign given the fact it was Taylor's first game under a new head coach. And he was coming off a concussion, which gives this performance a bit more heft. Give Taylor a few games before evaluating how you will use him. Right now, he's a decent QB2 if the matchup favors.

Fri, 08 Sep 2017 12:06:51 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor was sidelined for about a week because of the concussion but should be ready to play in Week 1. He likely will continue to be a dual threat quarterback and could be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in leagues because of his favorable matchup.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor practices again

Thu, 07 Sep 2017 15:03:41 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor will start in Week 1 as long as he does not suffer any setbacks over the next few days. He will be working with a new receiving corps this season but can be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in fantasy leagues this week because of his matchup.

Wed, 06 Sep 2017 13:58:22 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) was able to take part in a full practice session on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor appears to be in line to start in Week 1 against the Jets, and it appears he'll have his newest weapon Jordan Matthews on the field as well. Taylor toasted the Jets for 297 yards and three passing scores in Week 2 last season in his only start against Gang Green.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor good to go

Wed, 06 Sep 2017 06:48:56 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) has been cleared from the concussion protocol Wednesday, Sept. 6, and he's expected to start in Week 1 against the New York Jets, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor had a good game against the Jets last season. He was 18-for-30 for 297 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. If your QB1 is out due to injury or circumstance in Week 1, Taylor is a decent fallback.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor clears protocol

Tue, 05 Sep 2017 12:38:02 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) passed the NFL's concussion protocol Tuesday, Sept. 5, and is expected to start this week, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor's stock took a hit with the departure of Sammy Watkins, but he shouldn't be totally overlooked. He has a solid matchup this week versus the lowly Jets and his running ability gives him a distinct advantage. He's a low-end QB1 option and makes for a great replacement for those who drafted Andrew Luck.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor can practice

Mon, 04 Sep 2017 09:27:06 -0700

Updating an earlier report, Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) is able to practice Monday, Sept. 4, despite remaining in the concussion protocol. The league guidelines state that a player may be considered to return to practice only after the player has returned to baseline status with rest and exertion, has repeat neurophysiological testing and has completed the return to participation protocol. He also must be cleared by the team physician and the independent neurological consultant.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor still in protocol

Mon, 04 Sep 2017 07:46:26 -0700

Updating an ongoing story, Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol Monday, Sept. 4.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor's status for Week 1 is starting to teeter toward doubtful, but he is mostly just a depth player in fantasy. Nathan Peterman is in line to start if Taylor can't go, but he shouldn't see your lineup in fantasy.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor a Week 1 question mark

Thu, 31 Aug 2017 14:06:51 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol, but general manager Brandon Beane feels good about Taylor's chances of playing Week 1. Beane is still confident in rookie QB Nathan Peterman if Taylor is unable to take the field.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor has a decent matchup on paper against the New York Jets in Week 1. His value has decreased with the departure of Sammy Watkins, but his running ability remains a key factor in his fantasy success.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor to miss practice

Sun, 27 Aug 2017 13:21:03 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) will not participate in practice Sunday, Aug. 27, because he is in the concussion protocol.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor has two weeks to recover from his concussion if he wants to be ready for the start of the regular season. He is working with a new receiving corps this season and may struggle early in the season. Owners in most leagues should consider him a No. 2 fantasy quarterback.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor diagnosed with a concussion

Sat, 26 Aug 2017 17:07:14 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (concussion) exited the team's third preseason game Saturday, August 26, after hitting his head hard on the ground on the second drive of the game versus the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Tip: It's been an understandably rough preseason for Taylor, who lost top receiver Sammy Watkins to the Los Angeles Rams and was 13-for-31 over his first two games. Taylor is still a viable QB2 given his running ability, but he is highly unlikely to approach the low-end QB1 level he achieved over each of the last two seasons as Buffalo begins its rebuilding process.

Bills | Coach confident in Tyrod Taylor

Fri, 18 Aug 2017 13:58:45 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor will start the third preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens, and head coach Sean McDermott said he has all the confidence in the world in Taylor. Taylor will receive all of the first-team work against the Ravens and is expected to be the starting quarterback in Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor has struggled at times during the preseason, but he should be the starter for at least the start of the season. He recorded 3,023 passing yards and 23 total touchdowns in 2016. Taylor will be working with a new set of receivers this season but can still be considered a No. 2 fantasy quarterback.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor still the starter

Thu, 17 Aug 2017 23:12:32 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor will remain atop the depth chart, according to post-game comments from head coach Sean McDermott Thursday, Aug. 17. Taylor struggled badly during the team's preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Tip: This seems like a silly question, but Taylor's struggles coupled with some surprisingly competent play from Nathan Peterman looks to have opened that can of worms. It's highly unlikely that, barring injury, anyone other than Taylor will be under center for Buffalo in Week 1, but in the wake of last week's trades and Taylor's reworked contract it's no longer unthinkable that the team could go full tank mode if things go south early on. It's something to consider when deciding whether or not you want Taylor as your QB2 for 2017.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor throws two INTs

Thu, 17 Aug 2017 19:48:07 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor went 8-for-18 for 53 yards and two interceptions in the preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles Thursday, Aug. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor is working with a new receiver corps this season and is still trying to build chemistry with them. He has posted solid numbers over the last few season and should be considered a No. 2 quarterback in most fantasy leagues. His running ability will help his fantasy value.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor off to slow start at camp

Thu, 03 Aug 2017 12:44:19 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor has left something to be desired at camp so far, according to ESPN.com's Mike Rodak. Rodak noted inaccuracy as one of Taylor's struggles.

Fantasy Tip: Don't fret, yet. There's plenty of time between now and the regular season. Taylor's running ability makes him one of the more tantalizing quarterbacks in the fantasy realm. He's not an elite passer, but those rushing stats make him a low-end QB1 to high-end QB2 consideration.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor struggling early in camp

Tue, 01 Aug 2017 23:36:22 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor has not been sharp in the early stages of camp, particularly during 11-on-11 drills, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak, who writes that Taylor has been holding the ball too long and missing open receivers.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor's long-term job security in Buffalo is dubious, but the team is unlikely to willingly go to TJ Yates or Nathan Peterman early in 2017. Given his dual-threat ability, Taylor is an interesting QB2 even with some underwhelming performances in training camp.

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor looked "comfortable" during practice and was hitting receivers in stride Thursday, July 27, according to Joe Buscaglia of WKBW.com.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor enters the season as one of the better QB2 options and could make a serviceable starter against friendlier matchups.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor impresses

Tue, 20 Jun 2017 07:14:48 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor has impressed head coach Sean McDermott. "I've really been impressed with the leadership," McDermott said. "(He displayed) the intangible qualities that are inherent or must be inherent to that quarterback position. I've watched him develop in those areas and that's important as we look to move forward. There's leadership qualities at that quarterback position that are important to winning football games, and I think he's done a nice job in that area."

Fantasy Tip: Taylor has been a matchup play with some bright spots the last two seasons. He's much of the same this year as a QB2 in fantasy.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor a work in progress

Sat, 20 May 2017 19:39:27 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor needs to "trust his eyes" more and is still a work in progress when it comes to knowing when and where to throw the ball, according to offensive coordinator Rick Dennison.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor should open the year as the starter in Buffalo, and his ability to throw the deep ball and create plays with his legs make him a solid QB2 and a potential starter against friendly matchups.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor will need to compete for job

Sun, 30 Apr 2017 14:53:34 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor will not be handed the starting quarterback job and will need to earn it during offseason workouts and training camp, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor is the leading candidate for the job, but he is not guaranteed the job with a new head coach. He had a solid 2016 season with 3,023 yards and 23 total touchdowns. Taylor should be considered a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in most leagues and could be a starting option against certain options.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor fully healthy

Tue, 04 Apr 2017 20:43:47 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (groin) declared he is 100 percent healthy as he stepped back onto the field with his teammates as part of voluntary offseason workouts. "I've felt great since the surgery, and the doctors here and the training staff have done a great job of getting me to 100 percent," Taylor said. "I've been training and I feel like I'm in great shape."

Fantasy Tip: Taylor seems to be in much better spirits than earlier in the offseason, when it was still unknown if he would be brought back as Buffalo's starting quarterback. Plus, he was still facing surgery. With both of those issues behind him, the 27-year-old appears poised to take another leap in 2017. He's been one of the most underrated QBs in all of football, as besides being a solid running threat, Taylor has accumulated 37 touchdown passes compared to just 12 interceptions over the last two seasons. He can provide great value at the end of drafts.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor to continue running in 2017

Sun, 02 Apr 2017 12:01:42 -0700

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor's "exceptional mobility" will remain a prominent part of the offense, according to head coach Sean McDermott. "You've got to be able to run it to win games at the end of the game or to open up games, and that just opens up the play-action game with the play faking and getting Tyrod on the edge of the defense and trying to put ourselves in favorable third-down situations or red zone situations. That's a big part of the formula to playing winning football," McDermott said.

Fantasy Tip: McDermott also expressed how impressed he was by Taylor's rehab from groin surgery and willingness to "make himself available" to the new head coach this offseason. Taylor is also happy to be working with new offensive coordinator Rick Dennison, who served as the quarterbacks coach when both men were in Baltimore in 2014. Assuming the Bills add a capable wide receiver opposite Sammy Watkins in this month's draft, Taylor could flirt with low-end QB1 production from time to time.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor terms

Tue, 14 Mar 2017 05:55:41 -0700

Updating previous reports, Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor has cap numbers of $9.713 million in 2017 and $18.08 million in 2018. His deal will automatically void if he's on the roster the fifth day after the Super Bowl in Feb. 2019. The Bills will then carry $4.2 million in dead money in 2019, the remaining portion of his $7 million signing bonus he received with the restructure. His 2017 base salary drops from $12 million to $7.5 million, and he does not receive a $15.5 million option bonus because the Bills officially declined his option as part of the restructure. His 2018 salary drops from $13 million to $10 million, and only $1 million is guaranteed.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor threw for 3,023 yards and rushed for 580 with 17 passing TDs, six picks and six rushing scores in 2016. He's a QB2, in fantasy, but he'll be a matchup play in DFS.

Wed, 08 Mar 2017 10:51:25 -0800

Updating an ongoing story, Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor restructured his contract Tuesday, March 8, to remain with the Bills. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Fantasy Tip: The connection with new offensive coordinator Rick Dennison is encouraging for fantasy purposes. Adding more weapons on the outside will be imperative for Taylor to grow. He's a sketchy QB2 but carries a good deal of upside.

Browns | Tyrod Taylor on Cleveland's radar

Sun, 05 Mar 2017 10:45:37 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor is of "significant interest" to the Cleveland Browns should he end up on the open market as expected.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor is reportedly the Browns' option should they choose not to pursue Jimmy Garoppolo, and it may be the smarter approach anyway. Any attempt to land Garoppolo would require significant draft pick compensation, while signing Taylor would allow the team to address its many non-quarterback weaknesses with the first and 12th picks in April's NFL Draft. Taylor would remain a fantasy QB2 in fantasy should he leave for Cleveland.

Bills | Buffalo backtracking on Tyrod Taylor?

Fri, 03 Mar 2017 09:32:22 -0800

The Buffalo Bills are "leaning toward" moving on from QB Tyrod Taylor, according the Buffalo News' Vic Carucci.

Fantasy Tip: The soap opera continues. Per Carucci, if the $30.75 million guaranteed wasn't tied to Taylor over the next two years, the Bills would likely be bringing him back for 2017. Taylor is unwilling to renegotiate, so it appears he could be on the way out. Taylor is expected to have no shortage of suitors on the market if he is released, as San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns and New York Jets are among the clubs who could use an established veteran quarterback.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor cleared

Wed, 22 Feb 2017 05:27:47 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (groin) was medically cleared following last month's groin surgery, according to a team source. He has a $27.5 million option bonus due March 11.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor is unlikely to see that bonus and probably won't remain with the club. He has been a decent dual threat at the position, but he'll have to land in the right situation. Even then, he's a high-end QB2 in fantasy.

Bills | Increasing odds Tyrod Taylor stays in Buffalo?

Tue, 21 Feb 2017 10:14:58 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor may not end up going anywhere after all, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who said there is "better chance than not" Taylor remains with the Bills.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor will have suitors should he hit the market and is not open to a contract restructure, so Buffalo is either going to swallow hard on committing $30.75 million to him over the next two years or move on without him. A return seems the most likely outcome because the Bills know what they have in Taylor and new offensive coordinator Rick Dennison has worked with him before. Even in a slightly more wide-open offense than what he's had in his first two years with Buffalo, Taylor could flirt with low-end QB1 status.

Browns | Jimmy Garoppolo top target for Browns?

Sun, 19 Feb 2017 12:17:40 -0800

New England Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo appears to be the top target for Cleveland Browns this offseason, in the opinion of The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot. The Browns could consider quarterbacks like Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor, Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo and Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent QB Mike Glennon if they are not able to acquire Garoppolo.

Fantasy Tip: The Browns have two first-round picks in the 2017 draft, so they should have the pieces to move if they want to acquire Garoppolo. He played well when he served as the starter for the Patriots this past season but has not receive a lot of playing time during his career. Garoppolo would only be a No. 2 quarterback if he is traded to the Cleveland.

Browns | CLE QBs coach likes Tyrod Taylor 'a lot'

Tue, 14 Feb 2017 21:37:45 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor is liked "a lot" by new Cleveland Browns quarterbacks coach David Lee, who spent the past two years coaching Taylor in Buffalo. In addition, Lee would "welcome continuing to work with him."

Fantasy Tip: Taylor's status with the Bills is still up in the air, as he's due a lot of guaranteed money and the team hasn't yet decided their course of action. Furthermore, Taylor isn't willing to take a pay cut. Thus, there is a decent chance he could be released, and if that happens, the Browns look like a good fit for the dual-threat quarterback. Even though the Browns are coming off a 1-15 campaign, they could still provide Taylor with a solid amount of ammo to keep him fantasy relevant.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor may be open to lowering cap hit

Fri, 10 Feb 2017 15:20:36 -0800

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor is not willing to take a pay cut but may be open to restructuring his contract in order to reduce his salary cap hit for 2017 as long as it does not involve a pay cut.

Fantasy Tip: The Bills may be looking for ways to keep Taylor and still have a few weeks to make a final decision on his option. He should be a starting quarterback for a team in 2017 but should only be a No. 2 quarterback in most fantasy leagues.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor won't restructure

Thu, 09 Feb 2017 20:43:54 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor is unwilling to agree to a restructured deal that would reduce his pay, according to beat writer Vic Carucci.

Fantasy Tip: Buffalo seems determined to run off Taylor, but his numbers the last two seasons have been respectable. He should land a starting jon somewhere and will be a quality QB2 in 2017.

Browns | Tyrod Taylor may be option for Browns

Wed, 08 Feb 2017 12:48:46 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor may be an option for the Cleveland Browns this offseason if Taylor becomes available and the Browns are unable to acquire New England Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo. Quarterbacks coach David Lee worked with Taylor over the last two seasons when he was part of the Bills coaching staff.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor likely would receive interest from multiple teams if he becomes available this offseason, but the Browns' hiring of Lee could help their chances with Taylor. He has posted decent numbers over the past few seasons but should only be considered a No. 2 fantasy quarterback no matter where he signs.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor familiar with OC's system

Sat, 04 Feb 2017 12:29:40 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor said he is familiar with the scheme offensive coordinator Rick Dennison likely will bring to the team next season. Dennison served as the quarterbacks coach when Taylor was with the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Tip: Dennison's hire could help Taylor remain with the team, but the Bills will have to make a decision in the near future. Taylor posted solid numbers in 2016 but probably should be considered a No. 2 fantasy quarterback no matter where he plays.

Sat, 04 Feb 2017 11:58:31 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (groin) said he is focusing on recovering from his core muscle surgery and is not worrying about his contract situation.

Fantasy Tip: The Bills will have to make a decision on Taylor's contract in the near future, so owners should monitor the situation. Taylor is familiar with offensive coordinator Rick Dennison's offense and probably would be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback if he stays with the Bills. He probably would be able to find a starting job if is available in free agency but would still be a No. 2 quarterback.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor uncertain about future

Fri, 03 Feb 2017 10:55:37 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor wants to remain in Buffalo, but admitted Friday, Feb. 3, in an interview on the team-produced radio show he is waiting to see whether "management chooses to keep (me) around".

Fantasy Tip: Taylor had groin surgery last month and is in a race against the clock to get healthy enough to pass a physical before March 9 that could determine whether or not the Bills can release him. Buffalo may have signaled its desire to keep him around when it hired new offensive coordinator Rick Dennison, but it will be up to Taylor's health and willingness to agree to a more team-friendly contract (he's guaranteed $30.75 million in 2017 if he cannot pass the physical) that determines whether he stays or goes.

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor has not yet been given up on in Buffalo, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. The Bills could still try to bring back Taylor with a lesser contract.

Fantasy Tip: The question is whether or not Taylor will want to come back on less money. He hasn't been treated the best in Buffalo, but he would be playing for a new coaching staff. His running ability makes him an even better fantasy quarterback, so keep a finger on the proverbial pulse as the offseason progresses. Taylor could be a borderline QB1 if he's healthy and lands in the right situation.

Cardinals | Arizona likes Tyrod Taylor

Thu, 02 Feb 2017 13:32:56 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor "is very appealing to Arizona," according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. Furthermore, Taylor would make a great fit in head coach Bruce Arians' scheme if the Bills choose to move on from their quarterback.

Fantasy Tip: There's still plenty of time to make conjectures before the draft, and Taylor's name will be the subject of many of those conjectures. Arizona's quarterback situation does need to be addressed soon with Carson Palmer's age and subsequent decline. He can no longer be considered a starting fantasy quarterback.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor more productive at home

Thu, 26 Jan 2017 10:01:28 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor threw for 1,675 yards, 12 touchdowns and three interceptions at home this season while throwing for 1,348 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions on the road.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor's future with the Bills are uncertain at this point, so owners should keep an eye on the situation. He likely will be a starting quarterback no matter where he plays in 2017 but probably should be considered a No. 2 quarterback in most fantasy leagues.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor's surgery a non-factor for GM

Wed, 25 Jan 2017 10:00:34 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (groin) is recovering from groin surgery, but general manager Doug Whaley will not use that as a factor in determining the quarterback's future with the Bills. Buffalo has until March 11 to pick up Taylor's contract option, which has an injury guarantee for $27.5 million. Taylor is said to be recovering on schedule.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor has shown flashes, but a new system and staff could extract the most out of him. The massive contract is a far greater sticking point, however, and it seems to be a reach to expect him to return at this price. Stay tuned, but he isn't more than a QB2 in any conceivable situation.

Bills | New OC a good sign for Tyrod Taylor?

Fri, 20 Jan 2017 15:50:33 -0800

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor appears to have a good chance to remain with the team because he was part of the reason offensive coordinator Rick Dennison joined the coaching staff, in the opinion of NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "It would make no sense if the Bills hired Rick Dennison and got rid of Tyrod Taylor, one of the reasons (Dennison) signed there. So do not be surprised if Taylor is back, maybe on some sort of restructured contract for cap reasons. But this is very good news for the Bills' starter."

Fantasy Tip: Dennison coached Taylor when they were both with the Baltimore Ravens, but the Bills have to decide on Taylor's situation in the near future because of the option in his contract. Taylor posted decent numbers this season and likely will start for a team in 2017. His fantasy value is helped by his running ability, and he should be considered a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues.
