Updating previous reports, the St. Louis Cardinals signed 16-year-old Dominican P Fernando Gonzalez to a deal that included a $66,000 bonus, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Derrick Goold reports. The Cardinals also have an agreement in place with OF Jorge Araujo. He throws and hits left-handed, and vice president of player procurement Jeff Luhnow described him as "toolsy."

The St. Louis Cardinals agreed to a deal with P Fernando Gonzalez Wednesday, Feb. 8, reports Matthew Leach, of MLB.com. Gonzalez is set to turn 17 years old in April.
