Tue, 26 Jul 2016 17:01:22 -0700

St. Louis Cardinals OF Stephen Piscotty, 1B Matt Adams and C Yadier Molina are not in the starting lineup for the second game of a doubleheader against the New York Mets Tuesday, July 26. 1B Jedd Gyorko will start at first base, while 3B Greg Garcia will start at third base and is batting first against New York Mets SP Bartolo Colon. OF Randal Grichuk will start in right field, while OF Tommy Pham will start in center field and is batting fifth. C Alberto Rosario will start at catcher and is batting eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Pham may be the most attractive option among the three new players in the starting lineup, but none of the players should be considered in most mixed fantasy leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Garcia has cooled a bit, but he's still hitting .314. He has upside at leadoff against Kenta Maeda. Hazelbaker and Rosario don't offer much for DFS purposes.

Cardinals | Handful of Cardinals resting in Game 2

Wed, 20 Jul 2016 14:42:52 -0700

St. Louis Cardinals SS Aledmys Diaz, C Yadier Molina and OFs Randal Grichuk and Matt Holliday are all out of the starting lineup in Game 2 against the San Diego Padres Wednesday, July 20. SS Greg Garcia is starting at the 6 and hitting leadoff, OF Tommy Pham is starting in center field and hitting fifth, OF Jeremy Hazelbaker is in left field and batting sixth and C Alberto Rosario is doing the catching and batting eighth against Padres SP Paul Clemens.

Fantasy Tip: Against Clemens, who is making his first start of the year, all Cardinals hitters are worth considering as value picks in DFS action. However, the replacements are more of deep sleepers to help you save salary cap space if you're feeling bold. Rosario should probably still be ignored hitting down in the order.

Cardinals | St. Louis resting three regulars

Sun, 17 Jul 2016 10:17:18 -0700

OF Tommy Pham will start in center field and is batting first. 2B Jedd Gyorko will start at second base and is batting seventh. C Alberto Rosario will start at catcher and is batting eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Pham is hitting 6-for-13 with two home runs and four RBI over the last seven days and is an attractive option for fantasy owners. Gyorko is hitting .350 with three RBI this month and could be used in daily leagues. Rosario has gone 2-for-4 since being recalled, but owners should be able to find better options.
