Milwaukee Brewers SS Jean Segura (hamstring) is still dealing with discomfort in his strained left hamstring, and manager Ron Roenicke said Segura will not return until the pain ceases. "'Seggy' ran at 80 percent today good, tried to push it farther and he felt it. Not that he felt it pull, but he felt it being tight," Roenicke said Tuesday, Sept. 24. "So he backed off, and we're not there yet. I was talking to the trainers and they want to make sure he's close to 100. Hopefully we'll get there if not tomorrow then the next day. If he could play the last day or two, I'd be fine with that."

Milwaukee Brewers SS Jean Segura (forearm) was not in the lineup Sunday, July 28, against the Colorado Rockies, just one day after being hit on the right forearm by a pitch. Manager Ron Roenicke said Segura is fine, and he had been looking for a time to give Segura a day off, so the All-Star's absence was considered a rest day. No x-rays were taken on Segura's arm. SS Jeff Bianchi started at shortstop Sunday in Segura's stead.
Fantasy Tip: Segura had played in 101 of the first 103 games, so a rest was good for him. Heading into the new week, Segura is a slight risk, but it sounds like his skipper doesn't feel his injury is major, and the fact he didn't require x-rays is a good sign. Start him in all fantasy leagues as you normally would.

Milwaukee Brewers manager Ron Roenicke mentioned OFs Logan Schafer, Khris Davis and Caleb Gindl as candidates to take over in left field with OF Ryan Braun lost for the rest of the season. SS Jean Segura will bat in Braun's usual third spot in the order.
Fantasy Tip: Schafer is your best bet if you're looking for some speed in cavernous mixed formats. He'll probably lose some playing time to Gindl and Davis, however, so he may be best suited for NL-only universes.
