Washington Redskins RB Roy Helu (Achilles', toe) did not participate in organized team activities Thursday, May 23. Helu did get some work in on the side as he rehabs from a toe injury.
Fantasy Tip: It was thought that Helu would be a full go for organized team activities, so Helu should be ready to go as training camp gets closer.

The Washington Redskins have seven running backs on the roster right now, with only RB Alfred Morris guaranteed of a job in Washington this season. Based on the current roster, it appears RB Evan Royster will be battling Jawan Jamison, and RB Roy Helu Jr. will be battling Chris Thompson for the two running back spots behind Morris.

Helu and Thompson are expected to compete for one spot while Royster and Jamison are expected to compete for the other roster spot.

The Washington Redskins are hoping RB Roy Helu (toe) will be a full participant once organized team activities start next week. Head coach Mike Shanahan said Helu recently had a setback in his recovery from offseason toe surgery.

Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson (knee) could start training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list because he is recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and could start the season on the list if the injury is still a factor. Thompson is expected to compete with RB Roy Helu for the change-of-pace running back role if he is able to take part in camp.

Washington Redskins RB Roy Helu (foot) had surgery on Feb. 5, to correct a lingering foot issue. Helu said he expects to be back at full speed for the start of organized team activities.
Fantasy Tip: It does not sound like this will be much of an issue for Helu in the fall, but monitor his status the rest of the off season and adjust your draft boards accordingly.
