Updating a previous report, free-agent PK Kai Forbath (Saints) is signing an undisclosed deal with the Minnesota Vikings Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Forbath isn't a top notch kicker, but he's experienced. He should only be picked up as a desperation move for those who owned Blair Walsh.

Fantasy Tip: It was an okay debut for Forbath, who did not attempt any field goals. The team doesn't know yet how strong Forbath will be, but you may want to wait and see on Forbath until he actually kicks field goals with the team.

Mon, 19 Oct 2015 09:30:25 -0700

Free-agent PK Kai Forbath (Redskins) is signing an undisclosed deal with the New Orleans Saints Monday, Oct. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Forbath was 1-for-2 on field goal attempts with the Washington Redskins this year before being cut. He made 88.9% of his kicks with the 'Skins a year ago but was 0-for-1 on kicks of 50-plus yards. He's an option for those desperate at the position in traditional leagues.

Texans | Houston auditioning kickers

Tue, 29 Sep 2015 05:50:24 -0700

Free-agent PKs Nick Novak (Chargers), Kai Forbath (Redskins), Chris Boswell (Giants), Connor Barth (Buccaneers) and Giorgio Tavecchio (Raiders) are auditioning for the Houston Texans Tuesday, Sept. 29, according to sources. Texans PK Randy Bullock missed a 43-yard field goal and an extra point during the Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fantasy Tip: Bullock is clearly on the hot seat, but the tryout may also just be a means of motivating the incumbent, too. Seasonal players will want to take a wait-and-see approach and stay the course until there is an official announcement. The Texans are averaging two field goal attempts per game through the first three weeks of the season, and the Houston defense projects favorably most weeks, so the job has value, especially in the right matchups.

Redskins | Kai Forbath staying with team

Wed, 15 Apr 2015 19:49:48 -0700

Washington Redskins restricted free-agent PK Kai Forbath posted on social media Wednesday, April 15, that he has re-signed with the team. The club has not yet confirmed the signing.

Fantasy Tip: Forbath is consistent, and can be a decent help to FantasyScore players on select weeks and for owners when their primary option is on a bye or is dealing with injury. However, unless the Washington offense is much improved he doesn’t score enough points on a regular basis to use from week to week in most standard formats.

Redskins | Kai Forbath tendered by team

Sat, 07 Mar 2015 23:09:04 -0800

Free-agent K Kai Forbath (Redskins) received a tender offer from the Washington Redskins. No discussions have taken place regarding a multi-year deal, however, with the restricted free agent.

Fantasy Tip: Forbath saw an increase in production from 80 points to 103 a year ago, and he only missed three free goals. The majority of his production is on short kicks, however, so if you are in a league where you get points for longer field goals Forbath may not be your answer.
