DT Mike Patterson was the first-team defensive tackle in the nickel formation alongside DT Cullen Jenkins. LB Spencer Paysinger is listed as the first-team weakside linebacker ahead of LB Jacquian Williams. OT Charles Brown is the first-team left tackle ahead of OT James Brewer. OG Weston Richburg flipped between center and guard, as did OG Dallas Reynolds.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh said Tuesday, Jan. 21, that CB Chris Culliver (knee) and NT Ian Williams (ankle) are making good progress after season-ending injuries. Culliver has resumed sprinting while Williams has been off crutches for several months.
