The Green Bay Packers are undergoing some changes to their offensive line for the 2013 season. In addition to moving OT Bryan Bulaga to left tackle, the coaches have flipped OG T.J. Lang and OG Josh Sitton, moving Lang from left to right guard and Sitton from right to left guard. OT Marshall Newhouse, OT Don Barclay and OT Derek Sherrod will compete for the starting right tackle spot.

"Sherrod is there every day; I see him in the training room every single day," head coach Mike McCarthy said Friday, Feb. 22. "The surgery he feels is a success and what he needed. The Green Bay Packers retained OT Derek Sherrod (leg) on the Reserve/Physically-Unable-to-Perform (PUP) list Tuesday, Nov. 27, which means he'll be placed on the season-ending Injured Reserve list. The team had until early this week to either activate him to the 53-man roster or put him on reserve/PUP for the rest of the season.

Green Bay Packers OT Bryan Bulaga (hip) suffered a dislocated hip in the team's game back on Nov. 4, but he could avoid surgery, according to head coach Mike McCarthy. Bulaga will undergo a checkup in roughly four weeks. The team will proceed with OT T.J. Lang at right tackle and OT Evan Dietrich-Smith at left guard. OT Derek Sherrod (leg) practiced for the first time since breaking his leg last year, but it's unlikely he can contribute for a couple of weeks.

"He's not ready," head coach Mike McCarthy said Friday, Oct. 26. "That's really all I can tell you. I know he's frustrated, but we all saw the injury. It was a serious injury, definitely not something that we're not going to rush back. We'll give him every opportunity, but he's just not ready yet."

Green Bay Packers rookie OL Derek Sherrod has not played guard in years. While he was drafted to eventually take over as the team's starting left tackle, he was working with the team's starting lineup during training camp at left guard, which is one of the starting jobs up for grabs this summer. Sherrod said it isn't too problematic for him, as he noted the technique is a little different and it is beneficial to know all of the offensive line positions.
