Seattle Seahawks LB Aaron Curry confirmed that his role has changed, and he has been demoted to second team on the depth chart at outside linebacker, with LB K.J. Wright working with the first unit during practice this week. "I don't even know how to put it into words," Curry said. "But it is what it is … Everything happens for a reason. There's a purpose behind everything, and I'll find it and learn from it and take off running."

Seattle Seahawks LB K.J. Wright took most of the reps at middle linebacker with the first unit in practice Thursday, Sept. 8, with LB David Hawthorne (knee) limited. "K.J.'s been getting the majority of the reps," defensive coordinator Gus Bradley said. "And he's been playing really well in the preseason, so hopefully - I don't know what's the latest with the trainers - but whatever the case I think the team has a lot of confidence in K.J."

Mississippi State LB K.J. Wright ran the 40-yard dash in 4.75 seconds and 4.73 seconds at his Pro Day Thursday, March 10, reports Gil Brandt, of NFL.com. He also ran the short shuttle in 4.33 seconds and three-cone drill in 7.25 seconds and also measured a 34-inch vertical jump.
