Bengals | Andy Dalton goes for 328 yards

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 17:54:26 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton completed 22 of his 36 pass attempts for 328 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Tip: After a shaky start, Dalton has pieced together a few solid outings. He has 614 passing yards over the past two games with seven touchdown passes and two interceptions over the past three outings. He has re-emerged as a top-end QB2 or decent bye-week replacement in most fantasy leagues. The Bengals are off in Week 6 before heading to Pittsburgh in Week 7.

Bengals | Andy Dalton accounts for four TDs

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 13:14:17 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton went 25-for-30 for 286 yards and four touchdowns against the Cleveland Browns in Week 4. He also rushed for 29 yards on four carries during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Dalton struggled during the first three weeks but had a breakout game against the Browns. He will be facing a tougher Buffalo Bills defense next week but can be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in most fantasy leagues.

Bengals | Andy Dalton tosses two scores

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 20:04:14 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton completed 21 of his 27 pass attempts for 212 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-24 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Dalton had a brutal first two games, but he was at least serviceable in the first game with Bill Lazor as the offensive coordinator. He may be turning a corner, but he is still no more than a QB2 heading into a Week 4 meeting with the Cleveland Browns.

Bengals | Andy Dalton safe for now

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 07:23:58 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton is not in any imminent danger of losing his starting job, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Dalton has struggled in the first two games this season and has zero touchdowns and four interceptions during that span. He has a solid group of pass catchers to work with and could improve under a new offensive coordinator, but owners in all leagues should avoid him for now.

Bengals | Andy Dalton, OC hoping to sync up

Sat, 23 Sep 2017 18:36:12 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton and new offensive coordinator Bill Lazor are not yet at the point where they are speaking the same "language," according to Lazor. "The challenge here right now is making things come out of my mouth real smooth," Lazor said. "I can't have any errors."

Fantasy Tip: Dalton and the entire Cincinnati offense have been a mess through the first two games. You can give him a couple more weeks to turn things around before sending him to the waiver wire, but he shouldn't be starting in any format against the Packers in Week 3.

Bengals | Andy Dalton to remain starter

Thu, 14 Sep 2017 21:17:36 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton will remain the starting quarterback, according to head coach Marvin Lewis, who said Dalton's job was not in jeopardy.

Fantasy Tip: A lot of people liked Cincinnati to bounce back after a disappointing 2016, but through two games they look like one of the NFL's worst teams, and a lot of that starts with Dalton, who has gone consecutive games without passing for a TD since October of 2014. Lewis offered a vote of confidence, but we'll see how long that lasts because if the Bengals don't play better, Lewis' job will be on the line as well. At that point, all bets are off. Dalton, who entered 2017 as a midrange QB2, should stay mired to your bench until further notice.

Bengals | Andy Dalton has struggled vs. Houston

Thu, 14 Sep 2017 11:20:37 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton has a 1-5 record and thrown three touchdowns and seven interceptions in six career games against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Tip: Dalton is in dire need of a bounce-back game after a horrendous start in Week 1 in which he threw four interceptions and lost a fumble. Considering Dalton's history against Houston, this may not be the week to bet on that rebound. Keep him on the bench if you have a better option.

Bengals | Andy Dalton has horrific opening game

Sun, 10 Sep 2017 18:18:33 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton completed 16 of his 31 pass attempts for 170 yards, no touchdowns and four interceptions in the Week 1 loss against the Ravens.

Fantasy Tip: The Red Rifle finished with a quarterback rating of just 28.4, which is not exactly the type of start he or his fantasy owners envisioned. He is a borderline fantasy play heading into Week 2 against the Texans on a short week.

Bengals | Jox Mixon's versatility praised

Thu, 18 May 2017 18:34:49 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon's versatility will make it harder for defenses to know what the offense is doing, according to QB Andy Dalton.

Fantasy Tip: Mixon could displace Jeremy Hill for touches sooner rather than later, and he could become a solid flex play by the end of the year. Draft him as a high-upside RB4, and grab him in the first round in rookie drafts.
