Bengals | Andy Dalton takes part in practice

Thu, 25 Dec 2014 15:46:42 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton (illness) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 25.

Fantasy Tip: Dalton appears to be on track to play in Week 17 and may have a favorable matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers since they have allowed the third most points to quarterbacks over the last four weeks. Even with the matchup, owners should consider Dalton as a low-end No. 1 quarterback.

Bengals | Andy Dalton has improved in last month

Fri, 12 Dec 2014 15:50:38 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton has improved in the last month ever since his terrible 2.0 passer rating against the Cleveland Browns five weeks ago. "It's that everybody is on the same page," head coach Marvin Lewis said. "We have to get to the right spots, he has to deliver accurate balls, protections and routes have to match. When they don't match, things are going to be bad." Dalton has rallied the team to a 3-1 record and his completion percentage hasn't been under 68 percent in the last four weeks. It's no surprise to offensive coordinator that Dalton's improved play has come as WR A.J. Green has returned to full health.

Fantasy Tip: The Browns have held their own against enemy signal callers this year, and Dalton ($5,800) can attest to that. Although he's performed better recently, his upside is limited against this Cleveland squad, making him a lukewarm fantasy football option at FantasyScore this weekend.

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton (chest) said Sunday, Dec. 7, that he was fine after the Week 14 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. "Yeah, he hit me pretty square right in the chest. I was just trying to catch my breath," Dalton said.

Fantasy Tip: The Bengals lost, but Dalton has a pretty solid day for FantasyScore owners, finishing with 302 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and one rushing score.

Bengals | Andy Dalton shaken up

Sun, 07 Dec 2014 12:56:18 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton (undisclosed) was shaken up after taking a hit in the team's Week 14 game but was able to return.

Fantasy Tip: It does not appear that Dalton suffered a serious injury, but owners should look for an update in the near future. Dalton has had an up and down season and should only be a starting option against certain matchups.

Bengals | Andy Dalton steps up his game

Sun, 16 Nov 2014 15:09:09 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton completed 16 of his 22 pass attempts for 220 yards and three touchdowns in Week 11 against the New Orleans Saints, posting a career-high passer rating of 143.9 in the process. He credited former Bengals QB Boomer Esiason for a conversation earlier in the week. "He said, 'Go play your game'," Dalton said Sunday, Nov. 16. "'Get this thing going. Don't let that Thursday game mean anything. Get everyone going because we're talented'. It meant a lot to me. I'm glad he reached out. He's somebody I can talk to."

Fantasy Tip: It also helped that A.J. Green looked to be 100 percent for the first time since returning from his injury a couple of weeks ago, and facing the leaky pass defense of the New Orleans Saints doesn't hurt either. Dalton and the Bengals face the Houston Texans and their 29th-ranked pass defense in Week 12, so FantasyScore owners will be hot on Dalton's trail next Sunday.

Browns | Brian Hoyer looking for big deal

Sun, 09 Nov 2014 23:45:56 -0800

Cleveland Browns QB Brian Hoyer, who has not engaged in contract negotiations with his team since summer, may be looking for a larger deal. League sources suggested Hoyer would likely look to Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton as a comparable player in negotiations. Dalton signed for $17 million in guaranteed money.

Bengals | Andy Dalton lays an egg

Fri, 07 Nov 2014 06:52:43 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton's 30.3 completion percentage Thursday, Nov. 6, is the worst completion percentage in a game with at least 25 attempts in franchise history.

Fantasy Tip: Dalton would rather forget his Week 10 outing. He'll look to turn it around on the road against the New Orleans Saints next week.

Bengals | Andy Dalton tosses pair of TDs

Sun, 02 Nov 2014 17:02:53 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton completed 19 of his 31 pass attempts for 233 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 9 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also ran twice for 11 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Dalton hit his top two receivers, A.J. Green and Mohamed Sanu, with touchdown strikes. The return of Green should increase the fantasy appeal of Dalton, who now has three straight multi-TD games.

Bengals | Andy Dalton staying upright

Mon, 15 Sep 2014 15:42:29 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton has not been hit once on 63 dropbacks so far this season.

Fantasy Tip: Dalton has had two nice performances this season and will look to continue his play against the Tennessee Titans in Week 3. Dalton is a solid option to start this week and could be a sleeper if his cost is low enough on FantasyScore.
