Powell was active for the first time this season due to the injury to RB LaDainian Tomlinson (knee). Powell saw unexpected touches with RB Shonn Greene (rib) going down early with an injury.

New York Jets RB Shonn Greene (head) left the Week 11 game against the Denver Broncos in the first quarter Thursday, Nov. 17, due to an undisclosed injury. He was unable to walk off on his own power, and appears to have suffered a head injury after taking an inadvertent knee to the helmet. RB Joe McKnight and RB Bilal Powell are the other active RBs. Greene was taken to the locker room by the training staff for evaluation.

Jets | LaDainian Tomlinson won't play

Updating previous reports, New York Jets RB LaDainian Tomlinson (knee) said he didn't suffer a setback in practice Tuesday, Nov. 15, but he reportedly has been ruled out for Week 11. RB Bilal Powell will be active for the first time this year. Head coach Rex Ryan said Tomlinson would be a game-time decision if he travels with the team Wednesday, Nov. 16. He expects to be fully ready to play in Week 12 against the Buffalo Bills.

New York Jets RB LaDainian Tomlinson (knee) suffered a setback in practice Tuesday, Nov. 15, and the team is not optimistic that he will be able to play against the Denver Broncos in Week 11 Thursday, Nov. 17. He did not take part in practice available to the media Tuesday. RB Joe McKnight will have an expanded role in Tomlinson can't play, and the team could activate RB Bilal Powell, who hasn't played in a game this year.
