Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden signed a three-year contract extension Wednesday, Jan. 11, worth $3.6 million, according to NFL sources. Gruden was considered by some NFL teams trying to fill their head coaching vacancy, but he is staying put to gain more experience.

Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden's name is already being rumored for the Jacksonville Jaguars opening, although Gruden dismissed the talk Wednesday, Nov. 30. "It doesn't even cross my mind really. I haven't even though about it, nor will I," Gruden said. "I'm happy where I am at right now and I have a job to do here. It's flattering, whoever wrote it. It's a million-to-one shot." Gruden has longtime ties to North Florida – living in Orlando for 13 years and coaching Arena Football and UFL teams there.

Bengals | OC looking for long runs

Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden wants to see RB Bernard Scott, who is expected to start in Week 8 in place of the suspended RB Cedric Benson, post a long run. The Bengals are last in the NFL with just two runs of at least 15 yards this season, and the team has just one run of 28 or more yards, which happened back in Week 1.
