The Arizona Diamondbacks have activated SS Didi Gregorius (concussion) from the seven-day disabled list. In a corresponding move, the team optioned OF Alfredo Marte to Triple-A Reno.

With Arizona Diamondbacks OF Adam Eaton (knee) starting on the disabled list and OF Cody Ross (calf) expected to join him, OF A.J. Pollock will make the roster. OFs Alfredo Marte and Tony Campana are battling for the final spot. Campana has the major league experience, but Marte has been impressing the coaching staff this spring.

Arizona Diamondbacks OF Cody Ross (calf) has been running on an altered treadmill that allows a percentage of his body weight to be offloaded and has been getting at-bats in minor league games. However, the team is still unsure if he'll be ready by opening day. The team is more likely to start him on the disabled list to be cautious. OF Alfredo Marte, who was sent to Triple-A Reno earlier in camp, could make the team if Ross opens on the DL.

Arizona Diamondbacks OF Alfredo Marte was suspended 50 games Wednesday, Jan. 12, for a positive test under minor league baseball's drug program, according to The Associated Press. He tested positive for metabolites of Stanozolol.
