|Buccaneers | Coach hopes Jacquizz Rodgers returns|
Mon, 23 Jan 2017 17:02:51 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Rodgers did not start the season as the starter but received a better role during the season and finished as the team's leading rusher with 560 yards. Rodgers probably would have a decent chance for the starting job if he returns to Tampa and would be a No. 2 or No. 3 running back in fantasy leagues.

|Buccaneers | Jacquizz Rodgers to carry the load|
Fri, 30 Dec 2016 20:45:28 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Injuries have paved the way for Rodgers to lead the backfield, and when he started against Carolina earlier in the year, he topped 100 yards on the ground. He should sneak into RB2 territory in Week 17.

|Buccaneers | Doug Martin benching explained|
Sun, 25 Dec 2016 18:06:45 -0800
Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin was inactive against the New Orleans Saints in Week 16 because head coach Dirk Koetter believed RB Jacquizz Rodgers would be a better fit for the matchup, and Koetter said it was a "decision for today."
Fantasy Tip: It is no secret that Martin has struggled since returning from injury, and there is no guarantee he will play in Week 17. Even if he does suit up, fantasy owners should look for a safer option.

|Buccaneers | Jacquizz Rodgers leads slow running game|
Sat, 24 Dec 2016 23:52:26 -0800
Fantasy Tip: With Doug Martin off the canvas due to a coach's decision (it was not injury-related), Rodgers will likely see a larger role in Week 17 if Martin doesn't play. And with the Buccaneers nearly out of playoff contention, they may not rush Martin back. Rodgers could see a larger chunk of time in the coming game as well.

|Buccaneers | Jacquizz Rodgers to see bigger role?|
Wed, 07 Dec 2016 22:54:50 -0800
Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Jacquizz Rodgers might see added playing time in Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints. "It was good to get him back," offensive coordinator Todd Monken said Wednesday, Dec. 7. "I would assume he'll only be better this week in a little more of an expanded role."
Fantasy Tip: Rodgers was lighting it up before his injury, but that was also when Doug Martin and Charles Sims were on the shelf. He now has Martin and Sims to contend with for touches. Still, Rodgers is worth a look again in deeper PPR leagues, especially against a porous Saints pass defense.

|Buccaneers | Doug Martin injured late in win|
Sun, 04 Dec 2016 18:30:03 -0800
Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin (undisclosed) left the Week 13 game against the San Diego Chargers late in the second half. He said he was "bent back" late in the game, which is why RB Jacquizz Rodgers saw so much time down the stretch.
Fantasy Tip: Martin ended up with 17 runs for 45 yards and a touchdown while also hauling in a 23-yard catch on his only target. When healthy he is a solid RB2 in all fantasy leagues. We'll monitor his practice status all week and let you know if he'll be available for Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints.

|Buccaneers | Jacquizz Rodgers practices in full again|
Fri, 02 Dec 2016 12:59:32 -0800
Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Jacquizz Rodgers (foot) was a full participant in practice for the third straight day Friday, Dec. 2. He's considered questionable to play in the team's Week 13 game Sunday, Dec. 4, against the San Diego Chargers.
Fantasy Tip: It's looking very likely that Rodgers will be able to make his return to action this weekend, but he'll be returning under different circumstances. Previously, Rodgers was starting at running back for the Bucs, but since then, Doug Martin has returned to reclaim his job. As a result, Rodgers will merely be playing behind him and shouldn't be relied upon in any formats.

|Buccaneers | Jacquizz Rodgers a full participant |
Thu, 01 Dec 2016 13:42:38 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Rodgers should return to action this week, but he'll be playing behind Doug Martin. Additionally, the Bucs will probably ease Rodgers back into the swing of things after a prolonged absence. He'll have a role in the passing game, though, with Charles Sims on IR and is worth a pickup if he's available.
