Buccaneers | Mike Evans won't be shadowed

Fri, 16 Sep 2016 05:15:29 -0700

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans won't be shadowed by Arizona Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson in Week 2, according to Cardinals defensive coordinator James Bettcher. Bettcher said there will be situations Peterson stays with Evans, but sometimes he will not.

Fantasy Tip: Evans is teetering on the WR1/WR2 divide, and he needs to avoid hamstring injuries and drops in order to get over the hump. It's not a good matchup for him this week, and we're leaning to that WR2 side in Week 2.

Packers | James Jones in for tough matchup?

Thu, 14 Jan 2016 15:51:24 -0800

Green Bay Packers WR James Jones could be matched up with Arizona Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson in the divisional round Saturday, Jan. 16. Peterson allowed a league-best 45.6 passer rating in coverage. CB Justin Bethel was targeted a league-high 22 times in Weeks 16 and 17, and Packers QB Aaron Rodgers threw at Bethel a season-high 14 times in their first matchup, resulting in seven catches for 75 yards and an interception.

Fantasy Tip: Jones ($6,500, 13.0% of cap) lacks the speed and physicality to win a matchup with Peterson, making him a very tough sell in this one on FantasyScore.

Cardinals | Patrick Peterson ready for Megatron

Thu, 08 Oct 2015 19:37:24 -0700

Arizona Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson faces the Detroit Lions in Week 5, and he said enjoys the challenge of facing WR Calvin Johnson.

Fantasy Tip: Peterson slowed down Johnson ($7,100, 14.2% of cap) when the two faced off last year, holding him to five catches for 59 yards. Considering Megatron is off to a slow start in 2015, it may be best to avoid him at FantasyScore this weekend.
