White Sox | Avisail Garcia, Jimmy Rollins out

Sat, 30 Apr 2016 12:42:37 -0700

Chicago White Sox OF Avisail Garcia and SS Jimmy Rollins are not in the starting lineup against Baltimore Orioles SP Kevin Gausman Saturday, April 30. INF Tyler Saladino will bat second and play shortstop, while OF Jerry Sands will bat seventh and serve as the designated hitter.

Fantasy Tip: Saladino is batting .174 with a home run and three RBI in 24 at-bats, while Sands is 5-for-20 with a home run and three RBI. Both players should be viewed as sources of desperation salary cap relief in daily fantasy games.

White Sox | Trio of Pale Hose reach the seats

Tue, 26 Apr 2016 22:49:32 -0700

Chicago White Sox OF Adam Eaton, OF Avisail Garcia and C Dioner Navarro each had two hits, a home run and two RBIs Tuesday, April 26, against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Fantasy Tip: Eaton is a must-start fantasy option across the board, while Garcia has struggled and is only worth using in deeper AL-only fantasy formats right now. Navarro is worth using in AL-only fantasy and DFS play since he is seeing regular at-bats with Alex Avila on the 15-day disabled list.

White Sox | Avisail Garcia sitting out

Sun, 24 Apr 2016 10:41:55 -0700

Chicago White Sox OF Avisail Garcia is not in the starting lineup against Texas Rangers SP Derek Holland Sunday, April 24. OF Jerry Sands will serve as the designated hitter and is batting seventh in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Sands has not seen regular playing time but does have at least one hit in three of his last four games. Sands could be an option for desperate owners in daily fantasy leagues but is not a strong fantasy option.

White Sox | Three regulars return to ChiSox lineup

Sat, 23 Apr 2016 10:27:55 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins, OF Avisail Garcia and C Alex Avila are back in the starting lineup against Texas Rangers SP Colby Lewis Saturday, April 23.

Fantasy Tip: All three players have gotten off to slow starts at the plate, with Rollins hitting .217 and Garcia (.146) and Avila (.185) both batting below the Mendoza Line. They should be avoided in daily fantasy games for the foreseeable future.

White Sox | Avisail Garcia, Jimmy Rollins out

Fri, 22 Apr 2016 14:35:11 -0700

Chicago White Sox OF Avisail Garcia and SS Jimmy Rollins are not in the starting lineup Friday, April 22. OF Jerry Sands is serving as the designated hitter and batting seventh, while SS Tyler Saladino is at the 6 and is hitting ninth against Texas Rangers SP Martin Perez. Also, OF Austin Jackson moves up to the two-hole.

Fantasy Tip: Garcia is losing fantasy appeal very quickly with his .146 start (7-for-48 with two home runs), and he could lose more playing time to Sands. With that said, Sands has plenty of home run pop but has his daily value capped hitting low in the order. Saladino did homer the other day but shouldn't garner much attention in any format. A-Jax has a favorable lineup spot but is hitting only .170 and remains a low-end fantasy commodity.

White Sox | Two White Sox out of the lineup

Wed, 20 Apr 2016 08:31:57 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins and OF Avisail Garcia are out of the lineup Wednesday, April 20. SS Tyler Saladino is hitting second, and 1B Jerry Sands is hitting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Saladino is 3-for-11 (.273) on the season devoid of many counting stats. He and Sands don't carry the clout for a DFS start against Garrett Richards.

White Sox | Avisail Garcia sitting vs. Twins

Wed, 13 Apr 2016 14:02:07 -0700

Chicago White Sox OF Avisail Garcia is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, April 13. OF Jerry Sands is batting seventh as the designated hitter against Minnesota Twins SP Phil Hughes Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to replace Garcia in your fantasy lineups Wednesday. He is off to a 4-for-25 start with a .530 OPS but owns plenty of upside, so stay patient with the 25-year-old outfielder for the immediate future. Be wary of relying on Sands. He has a career .198/.283/.283 slash line against right-handed pitchers.

White Sox | Avisail Garcia finds power stroke

Sat, 09 Apr 2016 18:28:55 -0700

Chicago White Sox OF Avisail Garcia went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in a 7-3 win over the Cleveland Indians Saturday, April 9.

Fantasy Tip: Garcia has plenty of pop, and he is worth a look in deeper mixed leagues if you need power. However, he will likely be an all-or-nothing play in daily formats

White Sox | Avisail Garcia showing his power

Sat, 02 Apr 2016 19:02:27 -0700

Chicago White Sox OF Avisail Garcia homered for the fifth time during spring training Saturday, April 2.

Fantasy Tip: Garcia wraps up spring with five homers, 19 RBI and a .361 average. His power made him a hyped prospect not all that long ago, and he is a great late-round flier because of his upside.
