Falcons | Julio Jones destroys Packers

Sun, 22 Jan 2017 15:53:05 -0800

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot, toe) caught nine passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns Sunday, Jan. 22, in the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers. Jones had entered the game as a question mark after being a limited participant in practice Friday, Jan. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Despite playing with two torn toe ligaments and one in his foot, Jones looked just fine in all facets of the game. He is a lock for high draft placement in 2017 fantasy drafts after another strong season.

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot, toe) is playing with two injured ligaments in his toe and another injured ligament in his foot.

Falcons | Julio Jones listed as limited

Fri, 20 Jan 2017 13:12:48 -0800

Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (toe) was officially limited during practice Friday, Jan. 20, but is not listed on the injury report for the NFC Championship game.

Fantasy Tip: Jones will be able to play against the Green Bay Packers and should be a big part of the team's passing game. He has posted at least 60 yards in each of the last four games and has a touchdown in back-to-back games. Owners in all leagues should consider Jones as a No. 1 receiver.

Falcons | Julio Jones logs full practice

Fri, 20 Jan 2017 10:45:46 -0800

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (toe) "looked good" while getting in a full practice Friday, Jan. 20, and will not have any limitations in the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers, according to head coach Dan Quinn.

Fantasy Tip: Great news for Jones, the Falcons and any owners planning on using him in fantasy this weekend. Jones is expected to draw Ladarius Gunter in shadow coverage after the Packers' cornerback was used in the same fashion against Odell Beckham Jr. and Dez Bryant the past two weeks. Bryant dusted Gunter for nine catches, 132 yards and two touchdowns last week, so Jones could easily be the best fantasy play of the week.

Thu, 19 Jan 2017 10:17:39 -0800

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (toe) will not participate in practice Thursday, Jan. 19, but said he will be ready for the NFC Championship game.

Fantasy Tip: Jones recorded 67 yards and one touchdown in the Divisional round game and should see plenty of targets against the Green Bay Packers this week. Jones is a No. 1 fantasy receiver in all leagues even though he is dealing with the toe injury.

Falcons | Julio Jones will not practice Wednesday

Wed, 18 Jan 2017 10:30:07 -0800

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) will not practice Wednesday, Jan. 18, by design, according to Falcons head coach Dan Quinn. Jones will "do more" later in the week, per Quinn.

Fantasy Tip: The all-world receiver should be in fantasy lineups if he dresses, which is the expectation. Green Bay's secondary is abysmal, so even a hobbled Jones should find some room.

Falcons | Julio Jones should play in NFC Championship

Mon, 16 Jan 2017 09:20:12 -0800

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (toe) is expected to be limited during practice this week, but head coach Dan Quinn believes Jones will be "ready to rock" for the NFC Championship Game.

Fantasy Tip: Jones departed in the fourth quarter of the Falcons' Divisional Round victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday, but it was quickly reported he could have remained in the game had Atlanta not been ahead by multiple scores. Along with Antonio Brown and Julian Edelman, Jones should be in the running for top fantasy receiver honors next weekend when he gets a crack at the Green Bay Packers' shorthanded secondary.

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones' (foot) foot injury is not a cause for concern, according to head coach Dan Quinn, and Quinn said Jones could have returned against the Seattle Seahawks Saturday, Jan 14, if needed.

Fantasy Tip: It sounds like Jones should be just fine for the conference title game, and he is one of the most valuable fantasy assets at any position when he is on the field.

Falcons | Julio Jones unlikely to return

Sat, 14 Jan 2017 16:33:29 -0800

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) left the NFC Divisional Round game against the Seattle Seahawks with a foot injury. He is questionable to return.

Fantasy Tip: It is unclear whether or not Jones aggravated an existing toe sprain or suffered another injury. If his day is over, he will finish with six catches for 67 yards and a touchdown. Taylor Gabriel, Mohamed Sanu and Justin Hardy will wrap up the game as the Falcons' top three receivers.
