Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) will undergo surgery on his foot next week after Dr. Robert Anderson diagnosed him with a fractured foot. Jones will miss the rest of the season.
Fantasy Tip: You can now safely drop Jones everywhere. The fractured foot that involved a broken screw from a previous injury could be an issue for him for the rest of his career. For now, Harry Douglas will move to a prominent role in the passing game alongside Tony Gonzalez with Roddy White (hamstring, ankle) hobbled.

The Atlanta Falcons are not currently seeking to swing a deal with the Cleveland Browns for WR Josh Gordon or any other wide receiver, according to a source. The team has a giant hole at the position following the injury to WR Julio Jones (foot) which may keep him sidelined for the rest of the season.
Tue, 08 Oct 2013 16:47:45 -0700
Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) reportedly broke a screw that was surgically implanted in his foot during his foot surgery before his rookie season in 2011.
Fantasy Tip: This is an aggravation that could easily require surgery, and everything is pointing to Jones missing the remainder of the season. He'll have a second opinion on the foot tomorrow, but you should already be making plans to add another WR and drop Jones from your roster.

Fantasy Tip: It appears to be a done deal that Jones will miss the rest of the season. Wait until the team makes it official later today before you drop him.
Tue, 08 Oct 2013 10:16:35 -0700
The Atlanta Falcons fear WR Julio Jones (foot) will miss the rest of the year with a foot issue. Jones will have more tests Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Fantasy Tip: Obviously this is a huge blow for fantasy owners if Jones is out for the year. This should mean an increased workload for Harry Douglas and Roddy White moving forward. This is also bad news for Matt Ryan as he may see his production dip moving forward. Tony Gonzalez could see even more double coverages than he is currently getting as a result of this news.
Tue, 08 Oct 2013 05:30:51 -0700
