Detroit Lions DT Nick Fairley said he and DT Ndamukong Suh are the most dangerous defensive tackle tandem in the league heading into 2013. "Of course," Fairley said. "We're going to give guys trouble, man. It's like pick your poison this year with our defensive line. You cannot come in and double-team Ndamukong and you can't come in and double-team me."

The Detroit Lions are counting on DL Nick Fairley to be a major difference maker along the defensive line, and they need him to stay healthy. The team lost DE Cliff Avril (Seahawks) and DL Sammie Hill (Titans) to free agency, and DL Kyle Vanden Bosch was released in a cost-cutting move.

The Detroit Lions would like free-agent DT Sammie Hill (Lions) back, and they really like his skillset and value him in the rotation. However, he is getting interest from some other teams and the Lions aren't in a position to match a multimillion per-year offer for Hill to come back as a backup behind DLs Nick Fairley and Ndamukong Suh.

Detroit Lions DT Ndamukong Suh played in every defensive snap in the team's Week 14 game, with the Green Bay Packers running only 53 offensive plays in the contest. His extended workload was due in part to DE Corey Williams' (knee) absence. DT Nick Fairley played 33 snaps and DT Sammie Hill played 24 snaps.
