Pittsburgh Steelers CB Ike Taylor is likely to draw the task of trying to stop or limit WR Calvin Johnson in Week 11. He has played well against some of the league's premier receivers, and limited Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green to a season-low 41 yards in their matchup in Week 2. Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall was also limited to just 52 yards, his second-lowest yardage total of the year, in Week 3 while working against Taylor.
Fantasy Tip: Regardless of what Taylor has done in previous games against other receivers, you never, ever sit Johnson in fantasy leagues unless he is hurt or one a bye. Period.

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green finished the Week 10 game against the Baltimore Ravens with eight receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown. With no time remaining in regulation, Bengals QB Andy Dalton heaved up a desperation prayer that was answered by Green. Ravens SS James Ihedigbo inexplicably batted the ball up into the air and right to Green, who was standing alone in the back of the end zone for the 51-yard touchdown. It marked Green's fifth consecutive 100-yard game, a franchise record.
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners everywhere need to send a thank you note to Ihedigbo, as if he did not touch the ball or simply bats it down, the game ends and fantasy owners get far fewer points.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Andrew Hawkins, who was just activated from the Injured Reserve list, could become a third wide receiver option behind WRs A.J. Green and Marvin Jones in the team's Week 9 game Thursday, Oct. 31, against the Miami Dolphins with WR Mohamed Sanu (shoulder) questionable for the game. Hawkins was third on the team last year in receptions (51) and receiving yards (533).
Fantasy Tip: Hawkins is a player to keep an eye on in deep point-per-reception universes. The Bengals may bring him along slowly, but they'll surely utilize him when he's ready.

New York Jets CB Antonio Cromartie will likely have the task of covering Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green in Week 8. "Put his hands on him and pray," said Jets defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman. Green has 619 yards, 43 catches and five touchdowns through seven weeks. Last week against the New England Patriots, Cromartie allowed only one catch for 25 yards, but that came after three weeks where opposing quarterbacks had a rating over 100 against him.
Fri, 27 Sep 2013 10:07:16 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green will face off against Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden this weekend, and Haden is welcoming the challenge. "I'm not just gonna run along with him and try to let him jump over me. It's gonna be a really, good, intense matchup. It's not a scared thing at all. It's gonna be a battle. You gotta know sometimes they might get theirs, but you gotta be able to get yours a lot more." Green has hauled in 18 passes for 344 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 19.1 yards per catch in four career games against Cleveland.
Fantasy Tip: Haden is one of the better cover corners in the league, but he hasn't shut down Green before, giving up large gains in their matchups at times. Green, as always, is a must-start.

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (finger) tweaked a finger on his left hand in Week 1 and had it taped in the second quarter of the team's loss.
Fantasy Tip: Green had a monster day, and his finger injury didn't slow him at all. You shouldn't be concerned.
Sun, 08 Sep 2013 17:36:04 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (finger) posted nine receptions for 162 yards and two touchdowns (2, 45) in the Week 1 loss against the Chicago Bears. The yardage total was the most by a Bengals receiver in a season opener, and it was the 10th time in franchise history that a receiver posted at least 100 yards. Head coach Marvin Lewis said after the game that Green suffered a finger injury at one point, but he is fine. Green had fingers taped during the game.
Fantasy Tip: It was a great performance for fantasy owners. Green will look to carry the momentum into Week 2 on Monday Night Football when the Pittsburgh Steelers come to town.

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (knee) was inactive for the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 17, against the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Tip: The team is taking it slow with Green, who returned to practice last week after dealing with a knee bruise. This isnít something that is expected to linger into the regular season, so fantasy owners need not worry. Green remains a must-start fantasy option worthy of a Top 20 overall draft pick.

Thu, 18 Jul 2013 09:22:39 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green praised QB Andy Dalton, and said that 2013 is not a make-or-break year for him. "I don't feel like it's a make-or-break year for him," Green said. "He's still the quarterback of the future because he has every intangible to be a great one. He works hard, he has great leadership. I think he'll be fine."
"You look at Tom Brady and all the best quarterbacks in the league, it takes four or five years for them to really get in a groove," Green said. "Aaron Rodgers sat behind (Brett) Favre for years. (The criticism) comes with the territory."
Fantasy Tip: While it may not be a make-or-break year for Dalton, there are high expectations for the Bengals, and that offense as a whole. A strong year from Dalton will go a long way in solidifying him as a top fantasy quarterback.
Thu, 06 Jun 2013 10:13:49 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden thinks the offense is due to make big improvements in the right direction this year after the team drafted TE Tyler Eifert and RB Giovani Bernard. Gruden has been pleased with the way the players have adjusted and adapted to his installation of a new offense during organized team activities. He's also happy with increased repetitions for QB Andy Dalton and the improvements of the skill players. "The thing about our offense is they came back and are willing to work hard, they are all unselfish and have a great understanding of what it is going to take for us to get to the next level," Gruden said. The offense has run some no-huddle plays this week and Dalton likes the look it gives the team.
Fantasy Tip: We have high hopes, as do most people, for the Bengals offense this season in Dalton's third year. A.J. Green has plenty of help in the receiving game, and the running game has some nice depth. Dalton could be a very capable fantasy backup QB with the potential to perform as a No. 1 many weeks.
Wed, 22 May 2013 09:47:06 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton has, during organized team activities, been focusing on improving the trajectory and accuracy of his throws while working with quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese. Dalton also is practicing a quicker dropback in the pocket. The club is hoping first-round TE Tyler Eifert will help stretch the offense so defensive attention doesn't squarely target WR A.J. Green.
Fantasy Tip: Along with rookie RB Giovani Bernard, Dalton has been awarded some underrated offensive depth that could raise his already solid ceiling as a high-end fantasy QB2. Getting more yardage out of his attempts would produce a breakthrough campaign, and your competitors may not notice or care leading up to draft day.
Fri, 01 Feb 2013 12:36:58 -0800
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green said he was disappointed that he was not targeted in the first half of the team's playoff game. "It's tough in a big game and you're the go to guy and you don't get the ball in the first half. It's all frustrating," Green said. "They had a game plan that had a matchup problem with [TE Jermaine Gresham] and they felt like they could go to him. Things happen like that. All games aren't perfect. That's one thing we need to build on. We just need to capitalize. Not only getting me the ball, but just making some of the big plays." Green finished the game with four catches for 80 yards.

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green had just one catch in Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it was good for an eight-yard touchdown reception.

Haden's suspension began in Week 2, when the Browns played the Bengals in Cincinnati. Green had seven catches for 58 yards and a touchdown; however, Haden's absence had a domino effect on the secondary that resulted in three touchdown passes for QB Andy Dalton. Green had big plays in both games against the Browns last season, and Haden is looking for payback. "I definitely feel like (I owe him one)," Haden said. "I honestly put him with the top Ė no, at the top - of the receivers I've played against. Because he does a little bit of everything. I've played against Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson. I like A.J. (ahead of them)."
