Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green said he is not worried about a contract extension, because the team picked up his 2015 option. "I think I'm on the backburner just because of the option. That's fine with me," Green said. "I don't even look at it like that. I just go out there and play and my time will come. It's not surprising. Teams always want to wait. I'm fine with my option and my $10 million. I'll take it."
Thu, 10 Jul 2014 11:55:21 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green said he wants QB Andy Dalton to remain with the team for years to come. "We came in together and that is the great thing for me and him," Green said. "I know he's my guy. I don't want any other quarterback throwing me the ball. I think he feels the same way about me." Green said he has built a good chemistry with Dalton over the last several seasons.

Mon, 30 Jun 2014 13:44:48 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton and WR A.J. Green are the best quarterback-receiver duo in the league, according to offensive coordinator Hue Jackson. "I think both of these guys are in the prime of their careers," Jackson said. "I wouldn't change the two guys I have for anybody at this point because these guys know how to do it together."
Fantasy Tip: Green is one of the best receivers in the game and is a no-doubt WR1. However, until Dalton shakes off his consistency issues, he remains nothing more than a midrange backup QB.
Thu, 26 Jun 2014 05:32:43 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals beat writer Geoff Hobson believes Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson wants to have a more ball-possession offense that runs it more but sets up more explosive passes efficiently. That would mean fewer pass plays, but more potential big plays off of play-action.
Fantasy Tip: Giovani Bernard is going to have to prove that he can run the ball effectively 15-20 times in order for the play-action to work. Jeremy Hill will also be a factor in third-and-short situations that could free up A.J. Green and Marvin Jones downfield. Andy Dalton looks to be in optimal fantasy position this year in his contract year as a low-range QB1.

Fri, 23 May 2014 11:43:37 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson said the team needs more from the entire offense, including QB Andy Dalton and WR A.J. Green in 2014. "They've been good, now it's time to be great," Jackson said.
Fantasy Tip: Green is already one of the top wide receivers in football. If he can take it to another level, it would only help both his fantasy value and the value of Dalton. Still, it is reasonable to think there will be some growing pains as the team learns a new offense.
Thu, 22 May 2014 14:38:38 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson wants to implement an up-tempo offense and intends to be heavily committed to the running game to set up the pass. Bengals OT Andrew Whitworth said the team is planning to get as many snaps in as they can.
Fantasy Tip: A more conservative offensive approach will improve the value of Cincy's running backs, with Giovani Bernard standing to have the best fantasy season. BenJarvus Green-Ellis shouldn't be written off just yet, since rookie Jeremy Hill having a fantasy-worthy role isn't a lock. Andy Dalton should become more efficient, but that isn't necessarily a good thing for fantasy value. Ultimately, WR A.J. Green remains the only weapon with consistent appeal.

Pittsburgh Steelers CB Ike Taylor is likely to draw the task of trying to stop or limit WR Calvin Johnson in Week 11. He has played well against some of the league's premier receivers, and limited Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green to a season-low 41 yards in their matchup in Week 2. Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall was also limited to just 52 yards, his second-lowest yardage total of the year, in Week 3 while working against Taylor.
Fantasy Tip: Regardless of what Taylor has done in previous games against other receivers, you never, ever sit Johnson in fantasy leagues unless he is hurt or one a bye. Period.
Sun, 10 Nov 2013 14:22:05 -0800
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green finished the Week 10 game against the Baltimore Ravens with eight receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown. With no time remaining in regulation, Bengals QB Andy Dalton heaved up a desperation prayer that was answered by Green. Ravens SS James Ihedigbo inexplicably batted the ball up into the air and right to Green, who was standing alone in the back of the end zone for the 51-yard touchdown. It marked Green's fifth consecutive 100-yard game, a franchise record.
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners everywhere need to send a thank you note to Ihedigbo, as if he did not touch the ball or simply bats it down, the game ends and fantasy owners get far fewer points.
Thu, 31 Oct 2013 08:50:36 -0700

Green and Marvin Jones in the team's Week 9 game Thursday, Oct. 31, against the Miami Dolphins with WR Mohamed Sanu (shoulder) questionable for the game. Hawkins was third on the team last year in receptions (51) and receiving yards (533).
Fantasy Tip: Hawkins is a player to keep an eye on in deep point-per-reception universes. The Bengals may bring him along slowly, but they'll surely utilize him when he's ready.
Fri, 25 Oct 2013 09:30:25 -0700
New York Jets CB Antonio Cromartie will likely have the task of covering Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green in Week 8. "Put his hands on him and pray," said Jets defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman. Green has 619 yards, 43 catches and five touchdowns through seven weeks. Last week against the New England Patriots, Cromartie allowed only one catch for 25 yards, but that came after three weeks where opposing quarterbacks had a rating over 100 against him.
Fri, 27 Sep 2013 10:07:16 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green will face off against Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden this weekend, and Haden is welcoming the challenge. "I'm not just gonna run along with him and try to let him jump over me. It's gonna be a really, good, intense matchup. It's not a scared thing at all. It's gonna be a battle. You gotta know sometimes they might get theirs, but you gotta be able to get yours a lot more." Green has hauled in 18 passes for 344 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 19.1 yards per catch in four career games against Cleveland.
Fantasy Tip: Haden is one of the better cover corners in the league, but he hasn't shut down Green before, giving up large gains in their matchups at times. Green, as always, is a must-start.

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (finger) posted nine receptions for 162 yards and two touchdowns (2, 45) in the Week 1 loss against the Chicago Bears. The yardage total was the most by a Bengals receiver in a season opener, and it was the 10th time in franchise history that a receiver posted at least 100 yards. Head coach Marvin Lewis said after the game that Green suffered a finger injury at one point, but he is fine. Green had fingers taped during the game.
Fantasy Tip: It was a great performance for fantasy owners. Green will look to carry the momentum into Week 2 on Monday Night Football when the Pittsburgh Steelers come to town.

Fantasy Tip: The team is taking it slow with Green, who returned to practice last week after dealing with a knee bruise. This isnít something that is expected to linger into the regular season, so fantasy owners need not worry. Green remains a must-start fantasy option worthy of a Top 20 overall draft pick.

Thu, 18 Jul 2013 09:22:39 -0700
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green praised QB Andy Dalton, and said that 2013 is not a make-or-break year for him. "I don't feel like it's a make-or-break year for him," Green said. "He's still the quarterback of the future because he has every intangible to be a great one. He works hard, he has great leadership. I think he'll be fine."
"You look at Tom Brady and all the best quarterbacks in the league, it takes four or five years for them to really get in a groove," Green said. "Aaron Rodgers sat behind (Brett) Favre for years. (The criticism) comes with the territory."
Fantasy Tip: While it may not be a make-or-break year for Dalton, there are high expectations for the Bengals, and that offense as a whole. A strong year from Dalton will go a long way in solidifying him as a top fantasy quarterback.
