Former New York Mets OF Mookie Wilson, who was recently named club ambassador, arrived at spring training camp Saturday, March 17. He will instruct minor league and major league players on running the bases and playing the outfield for the next few weeks. During the season, Wilson will make appearances at Citi Field and minor league affiliates.

The New York Mets announced their 2011 coaching staff under manager Terry Collins Monday, Dec. 13, according to ESPNNewYork.com's Adam Rubin. Ken Oberkfell will be the bench coach, Mookie Wilson will serve as the first bench coach, Dave Hudgens is the new hitting coach and Jon Debus will be the bullpen coach.
