New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman is hopeful that P Cesar Cabral (elbow) will be able to pitch some time this season. "I guess it could be (season-ending)," Cashman said. "I'd say more likely you'll see him up and running later in the year." Cabral is making his way back from a stress fracture in the elbow.

Updating previous reports, New York Yankees RP Cesar Cabral (elbow) has been diagnosed with a stress fracture in his left elbow. There is no timetable for his return.

New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi said RP Cesar Cabral (elbow) has a significant elbow injury and will miss an extended period of time. Cabral was complaining about pain in his throwing elbow and underwent an MRI and X-rays on the elbow. Girardi did not give the specifics of the injury.

New York Yankees RP Cesar Cabral (elbow) had his left arm in a sling after his appearance Friday, March 30. His elbow was in pain, and he will have X-rays and an MRI Saturday, March 31.

New York Yankees RPs Clay Rapada and Cesar Cabral are both fighting for a spot in the bullpen this spring as the month nears an end. Because of waivers, the team will likely lose the pitcher that they don't keep on roster.

The New York Yankees signed 19 players to one-year contracts for the 2012 season Wednesday, March 7. The players signed were Ps Cory Wade, Michael Pineda, David Phelps, Ivan Nova, D.J. Mitchell, Brad Meyers, George Kontos, Cesar Cabral and Dellin Betances, Cs Austin Romine and Francisco Cervelli, INFs Ramiro Pena, Eduardo Nunez, Brandon Laird, Corban Joseph and David Adams and OFs Melky Mesa, Justin Maxwell and Zoilo Almonte. Financial terms weren't given.
