Updating a previous report, the Texas Rangers have officially placed SP Neftali Feliz (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list with elbow inflammation. In a corresponding move, the team recalled RP Yoshinori Tateyama from Triple-A Round Rock.

The Texas Rangers will place SP Neftali Feliz (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list with an elbow injury. Feliz underwent an MRI Monday, May 21, but the results are not known at this time. The team will recall RP Yoshinori Tateyama from Triple-A Round Rock.

The Texas Rangers activated RP Yoshinori Tateyama (back) from the 15-day disabled list Saturday, April 14, and then optioned him to Triple-A Round Rock.

Texas Rangers RP Yoshinori Tateyama (back) threw a bullpen session Sunday, April 8, and reported feeling good. He is scheduled to throw another bullpen session Tuesday, April 10.

The Texas Rangers placed P Yoshinori Tateyama (back) on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday, April 4, and purchased the contracts of RP Robbie Ross and INF Alberto Gonzalez. Also, RP Neal Cotts (lat) was assigned to the minors and placed on the DL. P Cody Eppley was designated for assignment.

Texas Rangers general manager Jon Daniels confirmed Tuesday, April 3, that RP Yoshinori Tateyama (back) is expected to begin the regular season on the 15-day disabled list due to back stiffness. P Robbie Ross appears to be in line for a spot in the bullpen to start the season.

Texas Rangers RP Yoshinori Tateyama (back) has been bothered by a stiff back for several days. Manager Ron Washington said there is a possibility he could start the season on the disabled list. If Tateyama is placed on the DL, RPs Robbie Ross, Mark Lowe and Koji Uehara would fill the final spots in the bullpen.

The velocity was down for Texas Rangers RP Yoshinori Tateyama Tuesday, March 27. He allowed four runs in two innings. "In spring, every pitcher goes through a time when the velocity isn't there," Tateyama said. "Still, I have to get outs and pitch with what I've got."

The Texas Rangers added C Matt Treanor and RP Mark Lowe (hamstring) to their World Series roster before Game 1 Wednesday, Oct. 19. RPs Koji Uehara and Yoshinori Tateyama have been taken off the roster.
