Cardinals | Peter Bourjos to miss time

Mon, 20 Apr 2015 19:23:53 -0700

St. Louis Cardinals OF Peter Bourjos will be placed on the paternity list Tuesday, April 21. The team will promote P Mitch Harris from Triple-A Memphis in his absence.

Fantasy Tip: Bourjos ($1,900; 3.8% of cap) has plenty of speed, but he hasn’t had much time to show it off in St. Louis. FantasyScore likely won’t even notice Bourjos when he is gone. Fantasy owners in NL-only rotisserie leagues will not like the timing of his absence, however.

Cardinals | Mitch Harris seeking Navy Reserves transfer

Mon, 29 Nov 2010 05:23:55 -0800

St. Louis Cardinals P Mitch Harris, whom the team drafted in 2008, is seeking his transfer in to the Navy Reserves to begin his pro baseball career, the Springfield News-Leader's Kary Booher reports. The Reserves have two options that would allow Harris to enter the minor leagues: Active reserve, in which he reports only one weekend a month and two weeks a year; or the Individual Ready Reserve, which doesn't require either.
