Colts | Andrew Luck back in action

Thu, 09 Aug 2018 20:18:18 -0700

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) completed six of his nine pass attempts for 64 yards against the Seattle Seahawks in the preseason Thursday, Aug. 9.

Fantasy Tip: The numbers were of secondary importance for Luck. He made it through his brief appearance without any noticeable issues, and if he continues to look healthy throughout the preseason, you can expect him to start being drafted as a midrange QB1 in short order.

Colts | Andrew Luck will play sparingly

Thu, 09 Aug 2018 10:33:00 -0700

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) is expected to play between two to four series, according to The Indianapolis Star's Zak Keefer.

Fantasy Tip: That amount of playing time is a lot for a starting quarterback in the first game of the preseason, but Luck needs it. He hasn't thrown a football in any game since New Year's Day in 2016. Don't be surprised to see some rust, but Luck has mid-range QB1 upside if he can stay on the field.

Colts | Andrew Luck to sit Thursday

Wed, 01 Aug 2018 17:12:46 -0700

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) has thrown during five of the first six practices so far during training camp but will have a scheduled day off Thursday, Aug. 2. Luck has gone 85-for-112 during training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Luck appears to be making solid progress in his recovery and should be ready for the start of the regular season as long as he does not suffer a setback. He should be considered a No. 1 fantasy quarterback if he is healthy.

Colts | Andrew Luck, T.Y. Hilton connecting

Wed, 01 Aug 2018 10:47:57 -0700

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton and QB Andrew Luck haven't missed a beat since Luck returned to practice for training camp. "It's like when you wake up. You brush your teeth, wash your face. It's easy for us, man," Hilton said.

Fantasy Tip: Hilton has WR1 upside when Luck is throwing the ball his way. In 2016 Hilton led the NFL with 1,448 yards and he has averaged 81 catches for 1,250 yards and 5.75 touchdowns between 2013 and 2016 with Luck. There should be more of the same under a new offensive-minded coaching staff.

Colts | Andrew Luck delivers in pads

Sun, 29 Jul 2018 19:03:38 -0700

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) took part in his first padded practice since 2016, completing 12 of his 14 pass attempts in 11-on-11 drills during training camp Sunday, July 29.

Fantasy Tip: After missing so much time with a shoulder injury, Luck enters 2018 as a high-risk, high-reward QB1 option. You will want to invest in a quality QB2 if you draft Luck to be your starter.

Colts | Coach happy with Andrew Luck

Thu, 26 Jul 2018 12:39:30 -0700

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) looked sharp during practice Thursday, July 26, according to head coach Frank Reich. Reich said Luck looked strong and consistent during drills.

Fantasy Tip: Luck appears to be off to a good start and should improve as training camp goes on because he has not practiced in a while. Owners will need to continue to follow the situation to see if Luck suffers any setbacks. He is a No. 1 quarterback when healthy but is a risky option because of the shoulder.

Colts | Andrew Luck should play in preseason opener

Wed, 25 Jul 2018 13:28:25 -0700

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) likely will play in the first preseason game in two weeks, according to head coach Frank Reich. Luck is scheduled to practice Thursday, July 26, and Friday, July 27, before receiving a day off Saturday, July 28.

Fantasy Tip: Luck is coming back from his shoulder injury and probably will only be in the game for a series or two. It appears like Luck is on track for Week 1 as long as he does not suffer any setbacks. He should be considered a No. 1 fantasy quarterback when healthy, but owners may want an elite backup if they draft Luck.

Colts | Andrew Luck airing it out

Wed, 25 Jul 2018 08:41:24 -0700

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) has let loose on several throws in practice Wednesday, July 25, and has shown arm strength close to where he was before the injury.

Fantasy Tip: Luck is a high-end QB1 option in a pool that doesn't have many that stand out without age on injury questions.

Colts | Andrew luck cleared for training camp

Fri, 20 Jul 2018 11:25:43 -0700

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck will have no limitations with his surgically repaired shoulder and is "good to go" for training camp, according to general manager Chris Ballard, who added Luck will take occasional days off but is fully healthy.

Fantasy Tip: So far, so good. While Luck still has to prove he can take a hit to his shoulder or fall on it without incident, it appears as if the Colts and the quarterback feel comfortable finding out where he's at. Although he figures to see very little action during the preseason, Luck can prove he is worth a mid-to-late round investment just by making it through August. Even with the Colts' upgraded offensive line personnel, however, he's a risk-reward QB1 until he proves he can make it through a season.
