|Yankees | Dellin Betances to work eighth|
Mon, 25 Jul 2016 19:09:42 -0700
New York Yankees RP Dellin Betances will move from seventh inning to eighth inning duties following the trade of RP Aroldis Chapman to the Chicago Cubs, and RP Andrew Miller moving to the closer's role.
Fantasy Tip: Betances continues to be a fabulous fantasy option in rotisserie formats for help in the ERA and WHIP categories, as well as leagues with advanced scoring systems which reward holds.

|Yankees | Andrew Miller the new closer|
Mon, 25 Jul 2016 15:46:20 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Miller should now be viewed as an elite fantasy reliever, if he wasn't one already. He has six wins, seven saves, a 1.45 ERA, a 0.76 WHIP and 74 strikeouts over 43 1/3 innings, after all. Betances is worth owning in all settings. Over the past three seasons, he owns a 1.70 ERA, a 0.91 WHIP and 14.2 K/9. Those are impressive numbers, and Miller could still be traded, which would provide save opportunities for Betances.

|Yankees | Dellin Betances dinged again|
Fri, 03 Jun 2016 19:39:58 -0700
New York Yankees RP Dellin Betances allowed a run and two hits with two strikeouts in an inning of work Friday, June 3, against the Baltimore Orioles, and he suffered the loss. Betances has now allowed at least one run in three straight appearances.
Fantasy Tip: Betances had a similar stretch at the end of April and early May and settled down, and he'll do so again. Fantasy owners need not worry too much, and he is still racking up plenty of strikeouts.

|Yankees | Two Yankees RPs were unavailable|
Sat, 07 May 2016 16:13:15 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Aroldis Chapman is due back Monday, so Sunday could present Miller's final save chance for a while. All three are worth owning, but Chapman owners are close to rejoicing.

|Yankees | Yanks bullpen dominating|
Tue, 19 Apr 2016 16:02:18 -0700
New York Yankees RPs Andrew Miller and Dellin Betances have struck out 16 of the last 18 batters they've faced, and New York's relievers lead the majors with a 13.37 K/9 rate. Miller and Betances have combined to strike out 27 of the 41 batters they've faced (65.9%). Miller and Betances will be bumped back an inning when RP Aroldis Chapman returns from his suspension May 9.
Fantasy Tip: This is exactly why both Miller and Betances should be owned in all fantasy formats, even if they aren't seeing save chances once Chapman returns.

|Yankees | Dellin Betances takes loss Tuesday|
Tue, 05 Apr 2016 13:47:24 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Betances won't be driven down in fantasy rankings due to one loss, as he still will get save chances in the absence of Aroldis Chapman. Andrew Miller will get chances from time to time, but keep Betances activated.

|Yankees | Closer role wide open for Yankees|
Tue, 29 Dec 2015 11:04:33 -0800
New York Yankees RP Andrew Miller was told by general manager Brian Cashman the organization plans to keep Miller, RP Aroldis Chapman and RP Dellin Betances, and the closer role will be determined at a later date.
Fantasy Tip: Chapman faces a likely suspension to start the season, so he is likely out of the closer competition initially, and until there is an official announcement of who will pitch in the ninth inning it is difficult to project their respective fantasy values firmly. All three will return exceptional ratios with plenty of tallies in the strikeout column, so with the potential for saves added to the mix, there is a lot to like about all three after the top-tier closers come off the board. Stay tuned for additional updates.

|Yankees | New York open to dealing Andrew Miller?|
Mon, 28 Dec 2015 14:31:13 -0800
New York Yankees RPs Andrew Miller, Aroldis Chapman and Dellin Betances are expected to form a "three-headed monster" out of the bullpen, according to general manager Brian Cashman. However, Cashman noted the organization is open to trading Miller.
Fantasy Tip: Chapman has a potential suspension looming, so there will likely be one fewer "head" in the mix to open the season, and exactly how the usage is split up will significantly impact the value of each reliever. Until the ninth-inning arm is officially announced, it is difficult to project value for each. However, as it stands, the upside of saves along with their expected low ratios and high strikeout totals makes Miller, Chapman and Betances viable grabs after the elite closers are taken in drafts.

|Yankees | Bullpen will have different look for Yankees|
Wed, 16 Dec 2015 13:22:14 -0800
New York Yankees RPs Andrew Miller and Dellin Betances will pitch the ninth and eighth innings, respectively, next season, according to manager Joe Girardi. RPs James Pazos and Jacob Lindgren are candidates to fill the seventh-inning role, according to Girardi and general manager Brian Cashman.
Fantasy Tip: The Yankees traded relievers Adam Warren to the Chicago Cubs, and Justin Wilson to the Detroit Tigers, so there is an opening in the bullpen to help transition from the starter to the powerhouse one-two punch in the eighth and ninth innings. Miller is an elite closer entering the 2016 season, and Betances pitches in enough high-leverage situations to warrant a roster spot in the majority of seasonal leagues, and both strikeout batters at a high-end rate. Pazos and Lindgren are not options in yearly formats at this pint.
