New York Mets 1B Ike Davis could still be sent to the minors, and manager Terry Collins isn't ruling out using OF Lucas Duda or 2B Daniel Murphy at first as a replacement. Duda has been taking grounders at first. OFs Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Mike Baxter could serve as the corner outfielders against righties if Duda is moved to first base. INFs Jordany Valdespin, Zach Lutz or Josh Satin could be recalled if Davis is demoted.

New York Mets 3B Zach Lutz (elbow) returned to game action Friday, March 9, finishing hitless in two at-bats against the Atlanta Braves. He had been sidelined since Sunday, March 4, when he was plunked on the left elbow in an intrasquad game.
