The Milwaukee Brewers claimed P Miguel De Los Santos (shoulder) off waivers from the Texas Rangers in September knowing he was dealing with a shoulder injury. "We decided we'd rather get him fixed now and get it over with instead of going into the season wondering when he's going to break down," assistant general manager Gord Ash said. "He should be back by July."

Perez is a wild card and one of the team's top pitching prospects.

Holland will make $504,700. Feliz will make $502,000. All others are under $500,000.

The Texas Rangers will have their young, upper-level pitchers come to Arlington from Jan. 17-20 for a pitching mini-camp, as it returns from a one-year hiatus. Special assistant Greg Maddux will also be in attendance, as will the team's coaching staff, including manager Ron Washington and pitching coach Mike Maddux. SP Neftali Feliz and RP Alexi Ogando highlight the list of pitchers, which also include SP Jake Brigham, P Miguel De Los Santos, P Wilmer Font, P Justin Grimm, RP Mark Hamburger, P Michael Kirkman, P Roman Mendez, RP Justin Miller, SP Martin Perez, SP Neil Ramirez, P Robbie Ross, RP Tanner Scheppers and P Matt West.
