OF Andre Ethier might see a few starts in center, too, with OF Jerry Sands playing right field. Sands was hitting .257 with seven home runs, 28 RBIs and 27 runs scored.
Tue, 15 May 2012 05:14:05 -0700 Los Angeles Dodgers OF Matt Kemp (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring. OF Jerry Sands was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque. Kemp will be eligible to return May 29. Fantasy Tip: This is the course of action fantasy owners should've been hoping for. Kemp will have ample time to recover from this nagging hamstring strain, assuming that it doesn't turn out to be serious or that he doesn't aggravate it. Sands has struggled to control the strike zone for much of his time in the majors, so he's not a great bet in deep leagues, but LA's playing time picture becomes muddled with him in it.
