Arizona Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said the team is considering moving SP Josh Collmenter to the bullpen and calling up a new starting pitcher Monday, April 30.

Fantasy Tip: If Collmenter does move to bullpen, owners should watch to see if starting pitcher Trevor Bauer or starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs gets called up because either is worthy of being picked up in leagues. Skaggs is more likely of the two to get called up.

Arizona Diamondbacks SP Josh Collmenter allowed six earned runs, nine hits and no walks over six innings with six strikeouts in a loss Tuesday, April 24, against the Philadelphia Phillies. His ERA shot up to 9.82 as a result of the poor outing.

Arizona Diamondbacks SP Josh Collmenter had his longest outing of the season after struggling in his first two. He was charged with four earned runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings Thursday, April 19, dropping his earned run average to 10.22. "I finally felt real comfortable on the mound," Collmenter said. "It was nice to finally understand what I was doing."

Arizona Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said SP Josh Collmenter will receive another start even though he has struggled in his first two starts of the season. He has allowed 11 runs in seven innings this season with six strikeouts and four walks. Collmenter said he believes he problem is that he has been pitching out of the stretch too often.

Arizona Diamondbacks SP Josh Collmenter is working on his fastball command after focusing mostly on his curveball and offspeed pitches earlier in camp. "I guess our concern has been that maybe he worked too much on that, and he's lost the feel for his fastball a little bit," manager Kirk Gibson said. "He's always been outstanding at location, you guys know that, and he hasn't had that yet."
