The San Diego Padres will recall RP Brad Brach from Triple-A Tucson in the corresponding move following the trade of RP Ernesto Frieri to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The move wasn't officially announced, but Brach's uniform is hanging in a locker at Petco Park.

The San Diego Padres activated OF Mark Kotsay (calf) from the 15-day disabled list Monday, April 16, and optioned RP Brad Brach to Triple-A Tucson in a corresponding move.

The San Diego Padres placed SP Tim Stauffer (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list Thursday, April 5, and recalled RP Brad Brach in a corresponding move. Stauffer is dealing with a strained right elbow. P Erik Hamren cleared waivers and was assigned to Double-A San Antonio.

San Diego Padres OF Mark Kotsay (calf) was placed on the 15-day disabled list. SS Everth Cabrera and RP Brad Brach were optioned to Triple-A Tucson. P Jose De Paula was placed on the restricted list, as he is in the Dominican Republic resolving a visa issue.

The San Diego Padres signed 20 to one-year deals for the 2012 season Thursday, March 8. The players signed were SP Anthony Bass, RP Brad Brach, RP Andrew Cashner, RP Ernesto Frieri, RP Erik Hamren, SP Nick Vincent, RP Jose De Paula, SP Cory Luebke, RP Juan Oramas, RP Josh Spence, SS Everth Cabrera, 3B James Darnell, 2B Logan Forsythe, 1B Jesus Guzman, 2B Andrew Parrino, 3B Edinson Rincon, SS Jeudy Valdez, OF Kyle Blanks, OF Rymer Liriano and OF Blake Tekotte. Financial terms weren't given.

San Diego Padres RP Brad Brach (0-1) allowed one run on one hit over two-thirds of an inning in a loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks Saturday, Sept. 10, with two walks and one strikeout.

The San Diego Padres purchased the contract of P Brad Brach from Triple-A Tucson Wednesday, Aug. 31. In a corresponding move, the team optioned OF Blake Tekotte to Double-A San Antonio. Also, SP Dustin Moseley (shoulder) was moved to the 60-day disabled list.
