Thu, 18 Apr 2013 13:55:05 -0700 The Cincinnati Reds officially recalled SP Tony Cingrani from Triple-A Louisville for his start Thursday, April 18, and optioned RP Justin Freeman to Louisville in a corresponding move. Fantasy Tip: Pick up Cingrani wherever he's available. He has enticing strikeout upside for as long as he stays in Cincy's starting rotation. There's a good chance he goes back to Louisville when Johnny Cueto (lat) returns, though, so this is likely a short-term opportunity.
Mon, 15 Apr 2013 11:42:59 -0700 The Cincinnati Reds have placed SP Johnny Cueto (lat) on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained lat muscle. In a corresponding move, the team recalled P Justin Freeman from Triple-A Louisville. Fantasy Tip: It is not known how long Cueto will miss, so owners should look to put him on their bench or disabled list while he is out. Freeman likely will not be an option unless an owner is desperate in an NL-only league. Owners that added Tony Cingrani over the weekend should hold on to him for now because he could be called up to make Cueto's next scheduled start.
