The Kansas City Royals added Ps John Lamb, Mike Montgomery, Chris Dwyer, Donnie Joseph, Justin Marks and Juan Gutierrez to their 40-man roster Tuesday, Nov. 20, in order to protect them from the Rule 5 Draft. As a result, Ps Vin Mazzaro, Chris Volstad and Ryan Verdugo, Cs Brayan Pena and Adam Moore, 1B Clint Robinson and OF Derrick Robinson were designated for assignment. Backup C Brett Hayes reached a one-year, $600,000 deal Tuesday.

The Kansas City Royals have selected the contract of RP Roman Colon from Triple-A Omaha. In a corresponding move, the team optioned 1B Clint Robinson to Triple-A Omaha.

The Kansas City Royals recalled 1B Clint Robinson from Triple-A Omaha Thursday, June 7, and optioned P Ryan Verdugo to Omaha in a corresponding move. Robinson was hitting .314 with eight home runs and 37 RBIs in 60 games on the farm.
