The Cardinals received SP Jake Westbrook from the Indians while P Nick Greenwood went from the Padres to the Indians. Fantasy Tip: Ludwick moves to the worst hitter's park in the bigs, but he wasn't in a helpful environment in St. Louis anyway. His value doesn't change that much - he's still a capable run-producing mixed league outfielder. This opens up time for Jon Jay to stay in the Cards lineup, making him an OK deep mixed rental.Westbrook moves to a better situation, with Dave Duncan as his pitching coach. Westbrook, a grounder-friendly pitcher already, might be worth occasional deep mixed use for the rest of the season. NL-only FAABers should take a stab. |
