The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that the following players will be non-roster invitees to spring training: Ps John Gast, Nick Greenwood, Tyrell Jenkins, Joe Kelly, Victor Marte, Shelby Miller, Trevor Rosenthal, Kevin Siegrist, Jordan Swagerty and R.J. Swindle, Cs Luis de la Cruz, Koyie Hill, Steven Hill, Cody Stanley and Robert Stock, IFs Matt Adams, Ryan Jackson and Kolten Wong and OF Eugenio Velez.

The St. Louis Cardinals have acquired SP Jake Westbrook from the Cleveland Indians in a three-team deal also involving San Diego Padres, according to Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The Padres would receive OF Ryan Ludwick from the Cardinals while moving P Nick Greenwood to the Indians.

The Padres received OF Ryan Ludwick from the Cardinals, while the Indians received P Nick Greenwood from San Diego.

The San Diego Padres have acquired OF Ryan Ludwick from the St. Louis Cardinals in a three-team deal which also involved the Cleveland Indians, according to Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The Cardinals received SP Jake Westbrook from the Indians while P Nick Greenwood went from the Padres to the Indians.

Fantasy Tip: Ludwick moves to the worst hitter's park in the bigs, but he wasn't in a helpful environment in St. Louis anyway. His value doesn't change that much - he's still a capable run-producing mixed league outfielder. This opens up time for Jon Jay to stay in the Cards lineup, making him an OK deep mixed rental.Westbrook moves to a better situation, with Dave Duncan as his pitching coach. Westbrook, a grounder-friendly pitcher already, might be worth occasional deep mixed use for the rest of the season. NL-only FAABers should take a stab.
