The Rangers were prepared to offer Arizona a four-player package including 3B Mike Olt, but that was before Upton nixed the trade to Seattle. Ps Martin Perez or Cody Buckel also would have been sent to the D-backs, along with SS Leury Garcia and one other prospect, according to sources. Texas is still waiting to make one more big move this offseason, meaning they are candidates to sign free-agent OF Michael Bourn (Braves) or SP Kyle Lohse (Cardinals).
