Rays | Steven Souza impressing Rays

Tue, 03 Mar 2015 16:42:25 -0800

Tampa Bay Rays OF Steven Souza has impressed manager Kevin Cash early this spring. "Everything he does he does with a purpose, which has been impressive," Cash said. "He's very conscientious of his craft and how he goes about it. But as far as actually knowing him that well, it takes some time, like everybody else. But our conversations up to this point have gone really well."

Fantasy Tip: Souza, 26 next month, will be a fantasy baseball sleeper in 2015 with a starting outfield job in Tampa and a likely middle-of-the order spot in the lineup. Despite the fact that Souza only has 26 major league plate appearances, he has the skills and is a threat to be a 20-20 candidate with significant playing time. Take note.
