The Tampa Bay Rays, Washington Nationals and San Diego Padres agreed to a three-way deal Wednesday, Dec. 17. The Padres received OF Wil Myers, C Ryan Hanigan and P Jose Castillo. The Nationals acquired SS Trea Turner and SP Joe Ross, and the Rays added OF Steven Souza, C Rene Rivera, SP Burch Smith, 1B Jake Bauers and SP Travis Ott.

Washington Nationals OF Steven Souza (shoulder) had an MRI on his left shoulder, and the test revealed no structural damage, according to manager Matt Williams Tuesday, Aug. 12. He suffered a left shoulder contusion Aug. 8 when he slammed into the right field fence in Atlanta attempting a leaping catch.

Updating a previous report, Washington Nationals OF Steven Souza (shoulder) suffered a left shoulder injury in the game Friday, Aug. 8, against the Atlanta Braves, according to manager Matt Williams. The severity of the injury is not yet known and Souza will be re-evaluated Saturday, Aug. 9.
