San Diego Padres INF Drew Cumberland is looking good in his early workouts this spring while attempting a comeback. He is in minor league camp and hasn't played since 2010 due to vertigo-like symptoms.

San Diego Padres INF Drew Cumberland is present for the organization's minor league minicamp. He missed the entire 2011 season because of a rare neurological condition and had announced his retirement but has been cleared to play again by doctors.

San Diego Padres SS Drew Cumberland, who is dealing with a rare medical condition, has decided to retire. He has been diagnosed with a neurological disorder called bilateral vestibulopathy, in which portions of both inner ears that control balance are damaged. Cumberland's condition has led to debilitating migraine headaches as well as vision and balance problems.
