The Philadelphia Phillies placed RP Michael Stutes (shoulder) on the 15-day disabled list due to a sore shoulder. The team recalled RP Michael Schwimer from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move.

Philadelphia Phillies SS Jimmy Rollins and P Michael Stutes (shoulder) were scratched from the spring game Thursday, March 29. Rollins said he's not hurt, but Stutes has some shoulder stiffness and won't pitch Friday, March 30. Stutes' arm has been bothering him all spring, so he'll take three days off and play catch Friday.

Philadelphia Phillies RPs Antonio Bastardo and Michael Stutes are unlikely to be available Tuesday, Aug. 2, and RP Ryan Madson also may be unavailable due to heavy workloads recently. The team hasn't officially ruled Madson out. RP Brad Lidge will likely pitch in a save situation if none of those relievers are available.

Philadelphia Phillies RP Michael Stutes worked a perfect 12-pitch eighth inning Wednesday, June 29, for his fifth hold, while RP Antonio Bastardo worked a perfect 10-pitch ninth inning for his third save. Bastardo lowered his ERA to 0.93, and he figures to see a majority of the save chances while RP Ryan Madson (hand) is on the 15-day disabled list.
