Toronto Blue Jays OF Kevin Pillar and 2B Ryan Goins are not in the starting lineup Thursday, Oct. 1. OF Dalton Pompey is starting in center field and hitting leadoff, while SS Jonathan Diaz is starting at shortstop and batting ninth against Baltimore Orioles SP Tyler Wilson.
Fantasy Tip: Pompey ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) is certainly worth a look as a sleeper outfield selection on FantasyScore against a hittable pitcher while hitting leadoff. Diaz is not available to own for your daily lineups today.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Ben Revere is out of the lineup Thursday, Oct. 1, with OF Dalton Pompey leading off.
Fantasy Tip: Pompey ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) has a bright future, but his .191-2-6 line isn't exhibitive of it. He's not a real good FantasyScore option atop this lineup with the stars sitting out against Tyler Wilson.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Dalton Pompey was sent to Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday, May 2.
Fantasy Tip: Pompey earned the starting job but promptly hit .183 with 22 strikeouts in 83 at-bats. Remove him from your options immediately in daily leagues and stash him on your bench in deeper yearly leagues. As for an immediate replacement in Toronto, look at Kevin Pillar ($2,200, 4.4% of cap), who has had some great defensive plays in the outfield.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Dalton Pompey is not in the starting lineup Tuesday, April 28. 3B Danny Valencia is starting in left field and hitting seventh in the batting order against Boston Red Sox SP Clay Buchholz.
Fantasy Tip: Valencia ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is off to a fast start in limited duty in 2015, going 9-for-17 (.529). Despite his great start, Valencia is a low-end FantasyScore name at the hot corner against Buchholz. Valencia hit just .211 (32-for-152) with two of his four home runs against right-handers in 2014.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Dalton Pompey will continue to bat second in the order Sunday, April 12, against the Baltimore Orioles.
Fantasy Tip: The switch-hitting Pompey ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) will bat second for the third consecutive game, as the Jays take on the right-handed Chris Tillman. Ten of Pompey's 11 major league hits have come against right-handers and so has his lone home run. While that sample size is irrelevant, the more Pompey can hit in front of OF Jose Bautista, 1B Edwin Encarnacion and 3B Josh Donaldson, the better for his fantasy value.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Dalton Pompey has won a starting spot on the opening day roster.
Fantasy Tip: Pompey ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) deserves to be owned in most standard 12-team mixed leagues for his stolen base capabilities, and he's even more valuable with a guaranteed starting spot to open the season. Consider him a cheap source of stolen bases at FantasyScore.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Dalton Pompey has help in spring camp, as former Blue Jays OF Vernon Wells was brought in to help Pompey deal with the mental side of the game.
Fantasy Tip: Pompey is only 21, one year older than Wells was when he earned a callup to the Blue Jays. Pompey is the favorite to win the center field job this season, and if he does he might be worth a flyer late in some drafts.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Dalton Pompey will compete with OF Kevin Pillar and OF Ezequiel Carrera for the starting job in center field, but he is considered the favorite for the job.
