Boston Red Sox OF Daniel Nava (neck) hasn't swung a bat in four days due to a nerve issue in his neck. He took groundballs and threw but wasn't allowed to hit. "It's just a minor little thing I'm working on," Nava said. "There's no point of going too fast and then all of a sudden we're set back two or three weeks. I've been out there for groundballs, throwing, shagging fly balls. The final step will be just getting swings down."

Boston Red Sox OF Daniel Nava (neck) was not able to take batting practice for a third consecutive day Sunday, Feb. 23, because his neck bothers him when he swings from the right side of the plate. Manager John Farrell said Nava is making progress, and the team hopes he will be able to hit in the next few days.
