The Miami Dolphins haven't called despite a need for talent in the secondary. "I haven't heard anything from the Dolphins," said Buckley, who still lives in South Florida. The 14-year veteran is hoping to catch on with a team for another year or two before retiring for good. With Dolphins' nickel CB Reggie Howard continuing to struggle, there has been plenty of talk around the team about finding someone more experienced, such as Buckley or free agent CB Bobby Taylor (Seahawks).

Rookie CB Travis Daniels and veteran CB Mario Edwards received more playing time alongside starting CB Sam Madison than Howard did. Howard declined a request by the Dolphins this offseason to restructure his contract. Unless he becomes a bigger contributor, Howard may not be around in 2006 when his salary would jump to $3.25 million.
